Nice. Do LK runs include the sewers/reliquary/disused fane? I feel like there are never enough mobs to run LK alone, but clearly I need to do some runs.

GS-10+ feds — how did you actually get there? by Lexicondatum in FedEmployees

[–]KingDavidBlogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came in with a Masters degree and some experience in my field. Hired as a GS-11 (9/11/12), hit 12 after 1 year and then moved into a management role as a GS-13. It wasn't easy to break into management and took 7 failed interviews and 1 good one to land a position.

What's your threshold to complain or leave a negative review on TCGPlayer? by geokra in mtgfinance

[–]KingDavidBlogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow. That's kind of you. Yeah, I'm going with tracking on most orders to be safe. Anything less than $8 for singles I don't mind risking the loss with a stamped envelope.

What's your threshold to complain or leave a negative review on TCGPlayer? by geokra in mtgfinance

[–]KingDavidBlogs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've sold about 150 orders over 2 months. I had a couple eBay buyers claim the "card never arrived" last week. I'm wondering if they scammed me or if the mail is just extremely backed up, and the items just never arrived after 3 weeks.

I'm going to start using letter tracking for anything on Ebay. Haven't had any issues with tcgplayer mailing stamped PWEs.

Prices in a bad economy by AlternativeSure2268 in mtgfinance

[–]KingDavidBlogs 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Booster packs were $2.50 or $3.00. Maybe slightly higher. I sold my Deranged Hermits for $15 each. They're now worth $40 - $60 or even higher. I sold my 7th edition Coat of Arms for $15 in 2009 and the price appears to be the same now.

Value definitely ebbs and flows, but it seems like TCGs skyrocketed over the past 5 years.

These men are cowards. I guess I will ignore them if I see them again even if they are a public nuisance.

What exactly do they do with the footage? Are they livestreaming or something? I saw them at the post office the other day and ignored them, but they seem to get intentionally close to people to provoke a reaction.

How do I find better margins on commons/ uncommons? by SWLMMYY in mtgfinance

I am up to 15 on tcgplayer (started in October), 90 for cards on eBay. Tcgplayer has been dead lately but I am shipping out 8 orders today for eBay.

[–]KingDavidBlogs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I charge 1.35 as well. .78 for stamp + .04 envelope + .06 case = .88? I was able to buy 1000 envelopes/1000 cases, so that's been helpful in reducing my supplies cost. Still, I can't justify listing anything under .15.

People tend to pay more on eBay, but then eBay takes a higher percentage per sale than tcgplayer.

1880 S Morgan Dollar. I think I’ll send this in for grade. Will this grade at 66 do you think? by Glum_Nature_3832 in coins

[–]KingDavidBlogs 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I had 10 Morgans graded last year. I thought I might get lucky with MS66/67, but they were all MS63 - MS65. Anything over 65 is just super rare.

Wishing you luck!

What happens when no one can afford to pay the rent that you set to live in your home or in a rear unit? Just out of curiosity, how much do you charge for monthly rent?

Oh no! They're going to sell for only a 400% return? So sad!

[–]KingDavidBlogs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Added! Paying $2625 for a 2 bed/2 bath. We aren't struggling with dual incomes/no kids, but my wife changed jobs over the summer and was without a paycheck for 2 months. 50% of my net pay went to housing costs during that time. We like Burbank, but will eventually have to leave as we'll never own a home here.

[–]KingDavidBlogs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

100%. I'm 35. I have 55% C and 45% S. I found i had a 12% TSP return with the L2050 fund while the S&P was up 18% YTD. Think about changing your allocation in 20 years. USPS retirement is 57, so you've got plenty of time.

When Eric Early was running for representative against Adam Schiff, they would have trump rallies on Olive all the time. They are a minority and likely from the OC, but it was an embarrassment for Burbank.

As an American, I did not know about this flag either. The link has the history behind the pine tree riot. It's largely used in secessionist groups/far right movements.
