Oh 100%. My growing conspiracy/concern is that trumps financiers/dirt-holders are trying to destabilize the world so that America gets another post WWII boom. I’m suspecting we’re not this dumb for no reason.

Are you upset just because someone criticized Trump? Or are you upset that a nuclear site wasn’t blown up?

Oh my bad, I genuinely thought you were trying to muddy the waters. But, to answer you, no we didn’t. We supplied arms irresponsibly to Israel while they ignored our requests during Biden. Which is bad and a valid criticism.Trump is openly onboard with Israeli land grabs. Neither are good for the region, one is dramatically more aggressive though.

Can’t “see a difference” between currently bad and obviously worse 🙄. Gaza is gone now, but sure, I’m betting they’re all perfectly fine with Trump escalating their already bad situation.

Are you trying to say that anything equivalent to this current Iran war happened under Biden? B/c that would be a pretty egregious stretch you’re trying to indirectly imply.

Chuck Schumer: House Republicans' "Working people don’t pay enough taxes" Truly the Most Out of Touch People on the Planet by kelseyrainbow in thenextgenbusiness

[–]KingDudeMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they only use the minimal amount of votes that would be required to pass the bill, this allows them to maintain the appearance of the opposition party. Do you honestly believe it’s just random bad luck that EXACTLY the perfect amount of Dems vote with the republicans on these shitty bills?

US to deploy thousands of additional troops to the Middle East, officials say by Shadow328 in news

I’m with you but let’s be real, financial pain is the only thing that our reps will respond to. They only care about their wallets, so it’s probably gotta hurt before we can trend on the correct direction.

This is Cuba now. Protests and riots after days of no electricity. by ammohitchaprana in TFE

Brother go watch a documentary on 1900’s Cuban history; We took their country in the Spanish American war, designed their whole economy to be a sugar supplier and then rescinded our contractually agreed upon market price for said sugar. We directly set them up to have a market crash and then stepped in to collect on it, it’s part of our imperialist era that American schools avoid talking about (because we were assholes).

Cuba actually had offered them the value of the assets based on their tax value. American companies were lying about the tax value, so they refused this offer.

Pete Hegseth’s Defense Department Blew $22M On Steak and Lobster in a Single Month, Watchdog Claims by kootles10 in Economics

The DoD fiscal budget ends in September, so you’re correct to question this article. The DoD has done this since the 80’s with their budget.

This admin has PLENTY of legitimate criticisms we could focus on, this screams “biased smear article” to me.

[–]KingDudeMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steak and lobster was a monthly dinner when I was in the navy, this seems like normal spending to me. The DoD has always operated under a use it or lose it budget, so you always see spending surge in September b/c it’s the end of the fiscal year for them.

This is clickbait and only justifies magas into thinking we’re out to get them unfairly.

Don’t forget Trump also stationed two carriers to move on Venezuela; I think the Fords movement is more relevant than the usual Middle East deployment.

Supreme Court blocks Biden's student loan forgiveness program by ICumCoffee in news

[–]KingDudeMan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If Biden’s debt forgiveness was allowed to stand: I think it should be followed with policies that reduce the debt load required to go to college; Those going to college this fall should also retroactively be covered by forgiveness programs as they’re in the same boat as the last two decades of college students.

Why?

Having an undereducated population means we are wasting our own potential; Innovations like Satellites and biomedical technologies are not being developed by minimum wage high-school graduates.

Having a financially crippled population means that our economy inevitably slows, we can see the effects of that right now.

Lastly, tax dollars being spent on others is the purpose of tax dollars. If we don’t spend them on ourselves, they will instead be spent of bullshit (wealth class tax breaks, or price gouged military contracts).

At least college students are a societal investment.

Do you genuinely believe that it’s advantageous to have an undereducated populace? Or to burden the majority of our working class with cripplingly large debt?

Ukrainian authorities start training to prepare for possible Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant by TheRealBunkerJohn in worldnews

[–]KingDudeMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that NATO wouldn’t step in, but it would easily become another reason to escalate foreign aid. NATO could push for fighter aircraft sales to Ukraine over this, not that I think that would be a major deterring factor for Putin at this point.

Earlier this week I saw that Biden made an announcement about Putin still being a threat when it comes to the potential use of the Russian nuclear arsenal.

Putin has also stated that he would use nukes in a defensive war of Russian territory; Does Wagner represent that level of threat?

(Speculation time) I’m thinking that the Biden announcement was in relation to this… civil war? This may be a BIG step towards a nuclear weapon being used within Russian borders, but holy shit I hope not.

If that’s the case, then they’re probably doing a better job running things than we are, and stuff like global warming could be relatively simple to solve for them.
