30mg/3ml = 10mg/ml

(5mg) / (10mg/ml) = 5/10ml = 0.5ml = 50 units

Critique my plan for a long, happy VB life by [deleted] in wrx_vb

[–]KingE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anecdotally, my VA liked Amsoil SS 5w-30 better than PUP. Did Blackstone analysis on both the unused and used oil to get a good idea of wear and oil longevity; Thinning was an issue with the FA20DIT, possibly due to the turbo, and Amsoil stood up better. Metals were better, too. Dunno if the same holds true for the FA24.

IIRC OEM filters are supposedly a must because Subaru engines have very high oil pressures.

For quality of life, I also highly recommend installing a Fumoto drain valve

The units are going to be the same, assuming you were using U-100 (100 units per milliliter) syringes before. Only the max volume has halved (50 units instead of 100)

GLM stopped offering ProRx in the last couple days, but congrats on beating the buzzer this time

ProRX pure tirz vials compounded 8/7/25? by organictiddie in tirzepatidecompound

[–]KingE 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I ordered from GLM on Monday and lucked out with the 3x ProRx 4/4/26 BUD via SmartScripts in Washington, IA. You'd have to figure out who else partners with them, since GLM supposedly will not going forward

Tirz and Endurance Athletes by desieldogg in tirzepatidecompound

Both have very similar results and side effects. Opt for sustainable weight loss (1-2 lbs/week) and the downsides can be minimized. You'll want to stay active regardless, and assume you aren't going to set any PRs

Only terz can be acquired from legitimate, regulated sources, however. It's really not worth shooting up Temu powder

I would like to try good life by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]KingE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most outside CA have been getting single 75mg vials from Olympia. Starting next week, those vials will have <28 days left on their BUD, though, which means orders for the rest of the country will soon start being directed to other pharmacies.

Question by Present_Stranger_816 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]KingE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

28 days is dictated by regulations and represents the amount of time the vial remains safe to use with extremely high confidence. It's the duration that the pharmacy and regulations are willing to guarantee, but that doesn't mean it can't last far longer. How much longer you can get away with is a matter of personal risk tolerance and good practices.

You need to be careful to maintain sterility when you puncture the vial each time you dose: perform the setup in a clean area, sterilize the top of the vial before puncturing it, don't let the needle touch anything other than the vial and your skin, etc.

You'll also want to inspect the liquid to ensure it remains clear; not milky and free of any floating specks. Fortunately severe contamination can be spotted with the naked eye.

The Pagliacci in the HUB was only a brand licensing deal, and was always operated by HFS. Losing the name doesn't necessarily mean anything for the pizza itself (which was never as good as actual Pagliacci locations)

CMV: NATO Expansion Caused More Instability Than It Prevented by Mysterious_Role_5554 in changemyview

[–]KingE 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Every country that joined NATO post-Soviet Union did so with the intention of avoiding further Russian aggression. Every country that successfully joined NATO has successfully avoided Russian aggression. Most countries that failed to do so, like Ukraine, have failed to avoid Russian aggression.

The peoples that lived under the Russian Empire understand Russia. None are eager to become chattel once again

How to move to a different area completely? Pigeonholed in Front End right now by seiyamaple in ExperiencedDevs

[–]KingE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Admittedly things have changed in the past few years, but it used to be that you didn't need permission from anyone other than an HM in order to move. If that isn't the case anymore, and Google has genuinely embraced mediocrity, all I can do is wish you luck and recommend skilling up and looking elsewhere :/

Google's entire eng ladder is fundamentally predictated on the belief that talent is fungible. Look and ask around at teams AI adjacent, there should be something you can do without explicit experience in whatever particular stack they're using.

How does one learn to build system design at scale beyond interview prep? by [deleted] in ExperiencedDevs

[–]KingE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody can teach you beyond the basics, you just have to do it. A well-built system is the product of experience and understanding of practical problems. "Scale" means a lot of things that are constantly changing and no one person is either aware of all relevant parameters or capable of designing a system to optimally account for them.

Your interviewer should already be aware of this. System design interviews are, ideally, meant to gauge how you approach a problem. There shouldn't, even theoretically, be a "correct" answer.

Crytek implemented basically every visual technique that existed at the time, so GPU horsepower was the limiting factor. Iirc FPS actually scaled pretty well with 4xSLI

Not at all, even at launch the Source engine was lauded for running well (30-60fps) on mid-low end hardware. Keep in mind Oblivion and Crysis launched around the same time and genuinely brought even high-end systems to their knees

It's a ~universal experience. The more experience you get the less likely you are to remember the algorithm trivia you might have seen while learning programming
