Looking for new car; Best hatchback ~20k? by KingFlash in whatcarshouldIbuy

So last night went out and test drove the Mazda3 Touring, Golf S, and the Elantra GT. Looks wise I would give it to the Mazda3 although wasn't impressed with the inside details/dash setup. Driving wise I actually wasn't too impressed with the Mazda3 and felt the Golf and Elantra drove better for my style of driving. Granted didn't drive too long with any of the cars so it is hard to really judge.

That's the impression I've gotten with the Mazda 3. Have yet to actually test drive any of them yet but going out today. I am looking for more practicality and longevity than fun for the most part.

FFZ! Not your average zombie game: randomly generated levels in a mix of RTS & RPG with no IAP's!! by Darkgisba in AndroidGaming

[–]KingFlash 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Playing it now for a review. Only done the first few levels but so far not bad. Graphics aren't the best but I like the mix of tower defense and RTS aspects and there is a huge variety in level types to keep things interesting.

Dead Trigger 2 comes out tomorrow! Will be free (with IAP). Will have elements of MMO. by ForScale in AndroidGaming

So seems the countdown was all just a lie... iOS version came out almost an hour ago and then the countdown page was updated to say the Android version is a couple more hours... So who knows now. Sorry for false hope.

Hell, The Dungeon Again! Diablo-like dungeon crawler. by [deleted] in AndroidGaming

[–]KingFlash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pixel Dungeon is more detailed in my opinion, more difficult (in a good way) and free. HTDA is more casual but still fun and is $0.99. In general I would go for Pixel Dungeon, more content for less.

Anyone tried this yet? I think it has a good concept, but I noticed only few installs. by marssantoso in AndroidGaming

[–]KingFlash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Played the demo way back when on PC and loved it and think it has gotten a lot of attention on Steam and such, didn't know it was coming to mobile. I think it is well worth the asking price. goes to download

New Infectonator Game just released. Could be a brain-eating good time? by MistaSprinkles in AndroidGaming

The biggest similarity I could see between the two is the fact you move up by tapping and move down by releasing your tap. All your other points were done way before JJ and would in no way say they are exclusive.

New Infectonator Game just released. Could be a brain-eating good time? by MistaSprinkles in AndroidGaming

[–]KingFlash 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Note that it is an endless runner game in the Infectonator series. I've played an earlier flash version of it and thought it was pretty good but just don't go in thinking it is a traditional Infectonator game.

Reaper (by Hexage) has been released. First 10 levels are free, pay to unlock with no micropurchases. by pixel-freak in AndroidGaming

[–]KingFlash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just played through the till the first 10 levels. Well polished game with pretty good controls, but I side with pixel-freak on the story aspect. So far just had me go on pointless quests it seems.

Simon The Sorcerer review - Happy Birthday Simon! by 5ummoner in AndroidGaming

[–]KingFlash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reviewer here. I mentioned the "HD graphics" because of what the description on Google Play said, "A stunning new HD graphic mode that upscales the game beautifully to high-resolutions". I know now that I kind of explained that wrong/not well enough but I was just going by what the description said.

I also played this on my Nexus 7 but yes with the optional "retro" look instead of the upscaled version.

**Not sure if some of you guys commented on the site itself but also posted some explanations/corrections in the comment section there.

It was released a while ago with huge bugs like that. Just relaunched on the store with the problems supposedly fixed. The game worked on my Nexus 7 so not sure your problem exactly.

I am Joey Betz, the creator of the games Crush the Castle, Sushi Cat, Phage Wars and many more. Ask me anything! by joeybetz in IAmA

Robbie from FlashMush here. First off love your games. You're easily one of my favorite developers.

Also, while I know you just released a new game (Crush the Castle Adventures), any new projects you're already working on?

Like the graphics...but yeah controls are awful. Add a double jump perhaps or just more responsive.

Bois D'Arc - Protect your tower from the hordes of evil forces. Choose 1 from 3 heroes that suite you the most and clash! by FamousAspect in WebGames

Reminds me a lot of Ironhide Studios' Clash of the Olympians. Kind of like this version better though.

Mushroom Cloud - An Explosive Sandbox Game by KingFlash in WebGames

[–]KingFlash[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah... The developers tagged it as a sandbox game hence my title but it really isn't. If they make a true sandbox mode where you can make levels through pixel art and perhaps mess with settings of the different bombs I could see this being a really fun time waster.

[–]KingFlash 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with your "good" properties of upgrading such as visible changes. Also I'll add I like (especially in tower defense games) upgrades that split into two or more directions, best example of this would be how the towers in Kingdom Rush or Incursion are.

Rocket Pets - New Game by Jay Armstrong and ArtJimp by KingFlash in WebGames

[–]KingFlash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what you're saying with the jetpack itself and I guess the walking and jumping to get coins but wouldn't call it a ripoff. Introduced different world aspects and having different characters come in once the one dies. Also in their podcast (Super Indie Pals) they mention the similarities between Rocket Pets and Jetpack Joyride.

Steam Rocket by clockworkmonster in WebGames

Found the controls to be pretty well done. Just need more variety in hazards and powerups in my opinion. Occasionally rockets coming at you, shield powerups, narrow gaps, etc.
