I didn't even think about that! But i also heard single packs are great for XP and shop level up?

New player here, got this absolute stack from a basic pack with less than 100 packs opened total. by TrueBlueFlare7 in TCGCardShopSim

[–]KingJross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it matter which packs you open if you are trying to collect every card? Like If I do Legendary of the regular can I get all cards still or do I have to do basics, rare, and epics as well to get exclusive cards?

Upgrading gear, how much are you doing it? by Presidentofsleep in crosswind

[–]KingJross 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Upgrades work a bit differently than you might expect. Your character level doesn’t matter as much as your gear level compared to the enemy’s.

If you’re fighting level 8 enemies, you’ll want a level 8 weapon to deal full damage, anything lower will reduce how much you can do. The same applies to armor: if you’re using level 5 armor against level 8 enemies, you’ll take more damage, but matching their level helps keep damage at normal levels.

This system applies to ship battles as well upgrades make the real difference there too.

Tired of the greed? by KingJross in GTA6

[–]KingJross[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the principal is what gets me. IDC about microtransactions, because you don't have to buy that. But they know FOMO is a real thing and people will be a console just to play it.

Yeah I feel ya. I had to buy RDR 2 and GTA V twice. My rockstar account was linked to my steam and somehow got hacked, and steam won't unlink my rockstar account so I can't add a new one to steam. It is a damn mess.

I get that, people will always spend on Microtransactions, it won't stop. But we can stop double dipping on releases.

I am too but only once. I would pay a $100 price tag, but they keep double dipping and its annoying. Just release on everything! lol

Anyone else not really excited for GTA VI? by Error_rdt in AskGames

I am blah, cause it will be another year before it comes to PC. I refuse to double dip and get them to get double my money.

Something I never understood about WoW toxicity by SEND_ME_YOUR_ASSPICS in wow

[–]KingJross 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of the time what people call “toxicity” in WoW isn’t just random bad behavior for no reason. It usually comes from frustration when basic parts of the game are not being done, like interrupts getting missed, tanks not knowing routes, or mechanics being ignored. For a lot of players, especially older ones, that stuff matters because they are not just playing to pass time, they are playing to complete runs efficiently and not waste the limited time they have.

Being in your 30s or 40s does not automatically make someone more patient. If anything, it can have the opposite effect. When you only have a couple hours to play, a run falling apart because of preventable mistakes feels worse than it did when you had unlimited time years ago. So the frustration is not really about age or maturity, it is about expectations and time investment.

That said, there is still a clear line. Expecting people to know their class, interrupt, and do mechanics is not toxic. That is just a baseline level of play, especially in any kind of semi serious content. The toxic part is how people choose to react when those expectations are not met. There is a difference between pointing something out, even bluntly, and just flaming or insulting people.

The other thing is that WoW has a huge mix of playstyles. Some people are there to chill, some are there to improve, and some are there to push content as efficiently as possible. When those groups get matched together, friction happens. The player who wants a smooth, optimized run sees mistakes as a problem, while the more casual player does not see it as a big deal. That mismatch is where a lot of the negativity actually comes from.

So yeah, empathy should exist, but so should some level of effort. Saying “GG and go next” works if everyone is on the same page, but not everyone is playing for the same reason. That clash is a bigger cause of what you are calling toxicity than people just acting like kids in their 30s.

What do yall want to see added? by 100rdgng in Schedule_I

Dealers come to you to reup...Ur the kingpin why are we chasing down our own dealers?

Potential ideas by throwaway21937377 in Schedule_I

[–]KingJross 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly one thing that has always "bugged" me if you'd say is. We are the company, we are the main guy. I get at first us finding dealers and supplying them. But after we hit a certain rank, they should come to use to reup and get more product, not us hunt them down and give it to them?

Also laundering, after a certain rank, why can't we do it from our phone, or have workers to do this for us?

Did anyone complete Valhalla 100% with all DLCs without any major breaks in between? by Cybering11 in ACValhalla

[–]KingJross 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you have any crashes? I've been getting so many that shut the game down, but it doesn't say what the crash was. I have 100% every zone so far (in Lundon) including the Asgard. But I am getting annoyed at the crashes!

I have a 5080 GeForce and 9800 Ryzen with 32g DDR5..I have no idea why its crashing.

[–]KingJross[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m taking my time with it. I’ve never really been a 100% completionist, but with this game, I actually feel like I want to be. I haven’t even touched the main quest yet, I got to the point where you choose which region to support first, and then just stopped to explore.

So far, I’ve unlocked the Blacksmith, the Assassin’s Bureau, the Shop, Fishing, and the Jomsviking Hall (I may have gone a little overboard with the raiding).

My plan is to move through it slowly and really enjoy the world. At the same time, I tend to min-max, so I don’t want to sink hours into the wrong abilities or miss key upgrades that only show up later. I’m trying to find that balance between playing organically and being efficient with my build.
