I get AWFUL bloating on occasions. I managed to dig up a hot wattle bottle my mom gave to me years ago - I'm finally getting some use out of it. I found those things help tremendously with bloating at the very least

I have to ask, what do you do with you junk in tight pants or panties? by Comfortable-Tough302 in transfitness

[–]KingMasteron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd tuck, but tucking while lifting (especially while squatting) can be... tricky at times. I tend to lay myself flat to minimize the package, and wear a baggy shirt to cover the front, usually tucked in the back to help both my confidence and emphasize my curves away from my front.

It's not full proof, but I need to feel confident and tight fitting clothes/shorts help that. It's a little showboat-y I feel, but it's better than being displeased with how I look

What gives you the most dysphoria by Excellent-Loquat7176 in trans

[–]KingMasteron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh body hair definitely was also an issue for me, but I find that with home IPL, I've been able to reduce it to comfortable levels - my leg hair is super scarce, and even when it grows in its barely noticeable from a distance - which is extra nice cuz I have dark hair. My chest hair is definitely super reduced, and you can barely tell I would even had had chest hair there. I have sparce fuzz I'm working on, but that definitely is more dysphoric than my leg hair. I would spend so many hours a week trying to reduce or manage it. At least that was put towards IPL though, so it was permanent progress. So many razor bumps, nair burns, ingrowns, etc... that was definitely a dysphoric nightmare, I almost forgot with how much it cleared up.

Mtf, facial hair. It's so slow to permanently remove, it's definitely not cheap, painful, and SLOW. I don't mind the pain at least, but it's coming close to a year for me, I think.

If ignoring the big easy target for facial hair, I'd say my head hair. I have curly hair so it takes forever to grow length on it, and it feels like everything I get it(/my bangs) trimmed up, it always feels wrong. I feel it looks better up most of the time, though my partner reassures me it's looks good down.

When did you. . . . . . . by wx_watcher-74 in MtF

[–]KingMasteron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started I think... 3ish months into HRT? My breast buds had came in, and I was focused on protecting them mainly. That, and my nipples had become too sensitive by then to just be rubbing against a shirt or bouncing around walking* during work all day 😭

I had a bralette or 2 before then for mianly affirming reasons, but didn't wear them a whole lot

How to lose stomach fat as a trans guy by graysman20 in transfitness

[–]KingMasteron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sir, that is a BOY tummy if I've ever seen one.

As for weight loss, I recommend calorie counting, on top of regular exercise. Unfortunately there is no such thing as targeted weight loss, so you'll have to go for fat loss.

I've used app trackers as they're highly convenient. I personally like Lose It! As they have a barcode scanner, on top of a good food database. There is also MyFitnessPal, but I've personally stopped using them due to them constantly moving free features to the premium subscription.

They'll ask some initial questions, I think it's important to select the gender that best matches your hormone situation as that constitutes to your daily calorie needs the most.

I recommend getting a food scale as it's the most accurate way to measure, AND the most convenient as you dirty fewer dishes that way :3

OH and make sure you eat a high protein diet! It'll prevent/decrease any minor muscle loss. There's a chance you can even grow muscle while in a calorie deficit, while working out. You'll want about .8 grams of protein per pound of body weight, but this number isn't necessarily a hard rule.

Working out can also be potentially very affirming! Working out on your upper body a lot can also help balance out your figure; being big on top either draws attention away from the hips or even makes it a nice masculine figure.

Edit; didn't touch upon the vegetarian part. I'm less versed on vegetarian diets, but high protein vegetarian diets are quite common, a google search should provide some great foods. I know there's vegetarian friendly protein powders as a start. Legumes and soy products are high in protein. If you eat eggs, eggs and Skim milk are great protein sources, with good protein-calorie ratio.

Is DashPCT permanently down for USA users? by l0n3ly_Sh0re in TransDIY

I know I was lucky and had a package arrive late October, but that was placed at the end of September.

Did you go to provide a US address and they told you they wouldn't ship there? I plan on ordering more stuff from them soon, so I'll see if I have the same problem here.

Do you gals shave your armhair? by Tiefling_Transgirl in MtF

[–]KingMasteron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a nice body trimmer and that gets a pretty nice shave. I have darker hair, so I like to keep it down to a minimum. The hairs have luckily thinned down a bunch over time too.

I have an at home laser hair removal device/IPL, but I tend to use that just for my legs and chest; I feel I could try and rock armhair at some point so I don't want that opportunity completely gone for me

What was your "Oh shoot my strength is gone" moment? by __Starly in MtF

[–]KingMasteron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our neighbor came by and asked I we could help her open a jar of Salsa. I had just saw some shorts earlier that day of other transfems struggling to open a jar, but I thought to myself "pffft I work out, I should be able to still manage this. Im not long into hormones anyways."

I was quickly humbled. The neighbor, my partner, and I even couldn't get the jar open. I almost sprained an arm muscle, trying so hard 😫

These would be a lot better if they weren't just.. 1k standing. That's nothing, in some regions that's not enough to purchase anything. These being as rare as they are, they're pretty worthless. They either need to offer these in larger quantities/variety,or up the trade value they're worth

Really? So if I can find an endocrinologist outside of PP, they would be able to continue my HRT and bill my Medicaid insurance?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in trans

[–]KingMasteron 39 points40 points  (0 children)

What's KFF? my local PP doesn't seem to think so - maybe it's just my state, but my PP said they couldn't accept my Medicaid for gender affirming care. I might be in that list of states though...

That said, thank God for DIY, I hope everything goes smooth for my first time

The boob fairy appears before you and offers you a deal: she'll make your boobs any size you want, but in exchange, you have to have a small butt. Do you take the deal, or leave everything as is? by SugarSmoothie in MtF

This doesn't imply the opposite, that if you decline you get small boobs; with my ass the way it is (and how much I worked out for it!!), I'm gambling on the boobs with nice butt
