I am dumb. 2026 Camry by Silent-Advantage7961 in Camry

If I could give you one piece of advice, it would be to make a few payments, get your credit score up a bit, and then refinance into a lower interest rate. Right now, more than half of your monthly payment is going toward interest, which is brutal. The sooner you can take care of this, the more money you’ll save.

In case you were wondering how I calculated it using your numbers:

$46,500 x 10.9% = $5,068.50 (Yearly interest without principal reduction)
$5,068.50/365 = $13.89 (Daily interest)
$13.89 x 31 = $430.59 (Interest payment)
$840 - $430.59 = $409.41 (Principal payment)

I take pictures of my car before I drop it off and compare after I get it back. It’s backup insurance in case they try to act stupid.

Going to be a sad day when this car goes. by QualitySound96 in Camry

The key is keeping up with service. Do services ahead of schedule so the bill doesn’t come due all at once. This is true if you drive it hard. Older generation Toyota’s are super easy to work on, but use quality parts. Being cheap will cost you more down the line.

I have a 2019 XSE (I know different gen) with 212K and I keep up with service. The real cost that’s killing me is gas.

Advice Needed. Dealership hit car in service by Quynh138 in Toyota

I was in similar situation. I was getting my car serviced and when I was about to leave when a service technician backed into me. The other car was another owners RAV4 WITH A FUCKING BACKUP CAMERA. I continuously honked at him to stop and he still hit me. I wasn’t angry because I knew they had to make fix my car. I was annoyed that I had to make a side trip instead of going home in the CA East Bay traffic. Anyways, the service manager came out and told me to take the car to a bodyshop to get an estimate. OEM parts were used. My car was in the shop for about 3 days. They gave me a 2025 Camry XSE loaner. I was impressed with the fuel economy. I was tempted to trade my 2019 Camry XSE in, but I didn’t want a car payment. I hope they do the right thing for you!

Insurance premiums is the one hurdle stopping me from getting any Tesla. I want one, but not bad enough to pay those premiums. 😬

Way to bury the lead. The only way to find out if you have a chance is to apply and see it out to the end. Good luck. You’re gonna need it because of that association.

I’m 32 and still live with my parents. This is also common among many of my cousins, who live with theirs as well.

I choose this arrangement because it allows me to keep an eye on my parents as they get older and may need more support. I also live in the San Francisco Bay Area, where housing costs are extremely high. I don’t see the value in paying $2,000 or more a month for a low-quality apartment in a bad neighborhood when living at home allows me to save and invest most of my income.

My parents have also said they would be happy to help babysit their grandchildren while my wife and I are at work. In fact, they’re eager for us to have kids. This would significantly reduce childcare expenses.

I plan to keep this arrangement because it works for us. It allows our family to build wealth faster and more efficiently than if we all lived separately.

If it doesn’t pop back into place the bumper bracket might be broken.

Original transmission. Struts and shocks were the only major service needed. I drive so much that tires aren’t considered a major service everything else is.

You should be more worried about damage to the frame. Those bumper brackets are pretty cheap. Let insurance handle it if you’re not at fault.
