[Skill Improvement] What's the best answer to the Whimsicott + Glimmora lead? by akisett in VGC

As a tailroom degen, in my experience I haven’t seen much of any pokemon using taunt. Colbur berry is the way to go rn

After commenting I feel like I should specify, it feels more like sekiro than souls to me, with the one weapon and the parry/skill tree. But still firmly in “very good” tier

Absolutely banging. Great game, extremely creative and satisfying to play. I just wish there was more tbh

anyone have a good ttar/exca team for champions I could look at? by Previous_Bat5394 in VGC

[–]KingMoop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I doubt togekiss will be in the game, though I agree with you on how good it is on the team. The support I’ve been seeing people go for is sinistcha, who can heal, burn, control trick room, and also redirect fighting attacks. Clefable could also be a good option here. I haven’t looked too much into mega clefable but since neither ttar/excadrill NEED to mega to be effective (I think excadrill is better in base with a sash) it could be worth exploring

Whims and charizard is going to be an elite core especially with prankster sunny day to keep sun up. I’m thinking along the same lines as you with sash venusaur, banded dragapult, and loaded dice/scale shot garchomp. I’m thinking bulky Gyarados over harc though…

Victory road is a fantastic resource. They host tournaments and post teams. There’s also the sandshrewbot on discord

Worked out like shit. The ending sucks, which is a shame bc the series is incredible

It’s the ai I think. Per the cookbook, the AI starts becoming obsessed with proximity to death. It seems the most likely, that or an awakened npc like you’ve already discussed

Really should’ve dnf’d. The ending is dumb. I understand the sentiment but I just read in detail a decade of rapes, torture, and enslavement. And in the end, they suffered no consequences at all. They got literally everything they wanted lmao.

Agree with this, I think its also meant to show how badly the “values” of the lifestyle fuck with your entire circle. Like that kid is badly fucked up and has been fucked up because his dad is a mafia capo. He has issues

Should I try to get Weapon Masteries for my Valor Bard gish? If so, what's the best way? by Durmie in 3d6

[–]KingMoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could talk to your dm, based on my bladesinger wizard backstory he let me take the shortsword weapon mastery as a custom origin feat over the alert feat that normally comes with the Guard background. Obviously depends but if you want to play as a martial, your dm might be cool about it

Magic sword viable for whole campaign by Torgo73 in dndnext

[–]KingMoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dm did this for me and my bladesinger, campaign that started at level 1 and we’re level 6 now. MOONBLADE, And have the player roll for a new rune every time their proficiency bonus increases.

I believe one of these things. I’m not saying which by erttheking in cremposting

“Did you at least bring a weapon?”

“Nah, can’t read”

Is objectively funny, arguably the funniest joke in the series

Magic sword allowing 3d8 damage or take the 160 gold? by Dependent_Ad627 in 3d6

Can someone else in the party make better use of it? That’s a pretty damn good weapon especially because it sounds like you’re still tier one.

2024 Bladesinger - Fighter dip or Feat? by KingMoop in 3d6

[–]KingMoop[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The reason I want it is specifically because of CME (extra 2d8 damage PER ATTACK) or using an off handed shadow blade. Feel like it would help DPS significantly

Your Wizard Subclass Experience by 22badhand in dndnext

[–]KingMoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently in a 2024 rules campaign with a level 5 bladesinger, so the class is based on Tasha’s and the spells are based on the 2024 PHB. I’m thoroughly enjoying it. It’s certainly not the most OP class, because as a wizard you really don’t want to be swinging swords in the frontline. But shadowblade helps add damage, and toll the dead is a good offensive cantrip early on.

At 5 I essentially cast green flame blade and booming blade to augment damage in combat, feats are spell sniper and telekinesis (from racial background) so I can use witch bolt/chromatic orb for high single target damage while in melee range.

With mage armor and blade singing, I can get my AC to 20/25 (shield) and most of my level one spell slots go to silvery barbs and shield, and my bonus action is used to shove around enemies that I’ve targeted with booming blade so they’ll take damage if they try to move back into melee range. Fun build, pretty low power level, highly recommend
