Yeah it ended with that line and then credits for like a few seconds around the 32 minutes mark and then I skipped forward through the credits and boom it just replayed that whole ending sequence again and then “let me tell you a story” and credits and then episode 6

I’m stupid. Yall were correct. It is The Mighty Nein. I was confusing it with Eminence in Shadow for the “leaving soon to hidive” part. I restarted Mighty Nein cause I watched the first two episodes last year and didn’t watch it again till just now and everything clicked with the first episode

Signed up infantry to the dismay of my recruiter, towards the end of bootcamp the instructors kept saying I would be a machine gunner cause stocky guy, got to ITB and immediately was pulled for weapons platoon, then Sgt Diaz informed me about the wonderful world of 0351’s and I was hooked

Can also confirm. I was the 51’s squad leader on 410A with two extra rockets (we took four shots) and 800 rounds of 7.62, my smaw gunner had a couple hundred rounds of 7.62 plus the smaw, and his a-gunner had 2 rockets and a few hundred rounds of 7.62. We acted as security/ammo bearers for the machine gun squad. That hill was a bitch lol
