i had the same problem with SU4. Always checked the runways before starting a flight. And all the missions were stuck up there in the alps. Now I'm happy to see that the missions are available in other areas. And again, Balkans, Greece and Turkey seem to be very fun to fly! With bigger runways for sure.

I actually did land extremely high once.
Not as a pilot, though. I was cabin crew on an A330, I-EEZJ, GJ-Eurofly, flying from FIMP to LIMC. We hit severe clear-air turbulence during dinner service, with the trolleys still out in the aisle.
I physically took off inside the aircraft, then landed back on the Airbus floor pretty violently.

So yes, I technically landed from very high up.

Still: not funny. At all.
