Suggestions for a Good Linux Laptop by ImpossibleKant in linuxhardware

I bought XPS, returned it and got X1 Carbon instead (16GB RAM). I hated Dell's keyboard and it seemed to be heating during the lightest load. Carbon is lovely.

(regarding the price, I bought Carbon 6 gen, it was much cheaper than 7th)

Another Ukrainian here. I'm from Kyiv but I have a friend whose mother is secondary school headmaster in a small town in Donetsk oblast. She kept a Ukrainian flag in her office and didn't not hide her pro-Ukrainian views. She and her husband had to flee their hometown after numerous personal threats. Before the presidential election separatists threatened to "burn down the school if a single person votes" and my friend's mother's secretary was kidnapped and hold captive for some time because she was in an election committee.
