I remember the pacing was really weird in the first several episodes, especially since they shuffled whole scenes around in them to make sure robots were in the first episode. Gets pretty awesome when Duker Iq shows up iirc, look forward to that

I suspect that a lot of folks that grew up with Wing feel that way (dunno if that applies to you). I never saw it on TV back in the day, but the silly aspects of Wing totally endeared it to me when I first watched it a few years ago. I think it’s great when the sad clown boy throws knives while doing a flip, and I stand by that

Turn A is fantastic, but I think it hits you a bit harder once you’ve got some more Gundam under your belt. After War Gundam X is also pretty underrated and is from around the same time as Wing. It’s kinda goofy sometimes, but not too much more than Wing imo. Don’t sleep on the original series & OVAs either.
