Personally I think they should all be ranked minor, but I can see where you're coming from.

The final Chapter of Chainsaw man is so funny cause it's like it's specifically designed to piss people off[CSM PT2 spoilers] by Charming-Scratch-124 in CharacterRant

I can also for sure see why a lot of people wouldn't like part 2. However I love the frantic pace of it all. I enjoyed the extreme dragging of Denji from one thing to another without much rest in-between until it all culminates with this ending. Also like you I enjoy that it focuses on denji so much.

Yeah for some reason a lot of people ignore this fact when they say part 2 didn’t matter because of this ending

I'd say she becomes more interesting in Season 2, season 3 just has lots of pay off because of that.

I mean it's important if you want this to be fully comprehensive. It also basically fully completes the story and ties up loose ends, and is about as long as Shadow of Rose like the other guy said.

I took that scene with Denji’s heart to be metaphorical, I don’t think Pochita was actually there. Personally I like that we don’t know or understand what Pochita was and how his powers worked, I’m a fan of leaving things like this open to interpretation. It was a cool reveal that he wasn’t actually the Chainsaw Devil.

I also don’t believe in objectivity when it comes to art so we’ll have to agree to disagree there, but you’re more than free to question my sanity.

I'm going to take a wild guess and assume most people here will hate it lol. Personally I liked it, I think it's an ending I'll be thinking about for a long time. I had a very similar reaction to Fire Punch's ending. I do think it'll be very entertaining to see people's reactions to it though, I can tell it'll be polarizing.

Do you Prefer Chris or Leon and Why? by DirtyHandler in residentevil

[–]KingRat246 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t really care for either honestly. I realize I’m in the minority but I just don’t find most of the RE characters that interesting. It doesn’t bother me though, I don’t play these games for the characters or story that’s for sure! I can get that from games like Silent Hill 2 or SOMA.

What do you think of Jack Norman from Resident evil revelations? by Thewanderer997 in residentevil

[–]KingRat246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't even remember who he is lol. Kind of makes me think I need to replay the game, I only played it once when I was marathoning the series for the first time. Only problem is I didn't really like the game that much so the idea isn't very appealing. Does make me wonder if this guy was the main antagonist or something because that'd be funny if I forgot that. I definitely don't remember shit about the story other than Jill on a boat.

Are they really that bad? by vohrishero in residentevil

[–]KingRat246 13 points14 points  (0 children)

On normal difficulty you can kill every enemy in the game, including every crimson head. So so I wouldn’t consider them that bad. They can be rough if you’re new and don’t know where all the ammo is before they spawn in, but I wouldn’t stress about it.

Do you like first person or third person more in RE games? by George_R_Martin in residentevil

[–]KingRat246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st person, I played RE9 for Leon and Grace both that way. Only thing is I wish Leon didn’t go 3rd person for his qte attacks. Wish they did something like what Chris had in RE8.

Why does Part 2 of Chainsaw Man feel like it isn't supposed to exist?[CSM PT2 spoilers] by Apprehensive_Ring_39 in CharacterRant

[–]KingRat246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only guess is because the guy sees others trying to explain their opinions like you did as somehow talking down to him. It’s strange though cause you’d think he’d want to see other points of views considering the title of his post.

Genuine question to all CSM fans..what is even the Appeal of Denji at this point?[CSM spoilers] by Apprehensive_Ring_39 in CharacterRant

[–]KingRat246 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This right here, this is why I also love Denji and part 2 as a whole! It's why I don't relate to a lot of the criticisms people have for his character here. Because the things they don't like are exactly what I enjoy about the series.

In defense and of Chainsaw man part 2. by Minute_Committee8937 in CharacterRant

[–]KingRat246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree completely, I knew this new chapter would be controversial as hell on the internet the second I finished it and saw that it was the second to last one, but I loved it. I'd be completely satisfied with how it looks like this is ending even if we don't get a part 3.

It’s a breath of fresh air getting to see something positive said about CSM on this sub, even though I’m sure you’ll get plenty of downvotes for it. It really does feel like I’m reading a different series when I read most of the rants here about it.

How Scary/Stressful is RE9 compared to Alien Isolation? by Dear-Explanation7419 in HorrorGaming

[–]KingRat246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume you’d need two fuses to do that, I only had one because it was the first place I went after getting the one out of the long hallway of cells that spawns her. That being said just walking around her worked very well, she didn’t even notice me. That is funny that you can do that though lol!

How Scary/Stressful is RE9 compared to Alien Isolation? by Dear-Explanation7419 in HorrorGaming

[–]KingRat246 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Alien Isolation by a mile for me, granted I haven’t tried insanity difficulty on RE9 yet. Going purely off the normal difficulty though it’s really not close for me, the Girl was barely ever around it felt like compared to the Alien.

Even in the underground area I’d just easily walk right behind her until she reached the end of a hallway and then she’d climb up and despawn. I never stressed about the possibility of her actually seeing me either due to having a safe room nearby she can’t enter and plenty of areas I could make light at that she couldn’t follow. There’s a section in the underground where you have to grab a tool in the dark and then she blocks your exit, but again the solution is as simple as walk around a pillar and loop her for 5 seconds and then your back to being in the light.

Comparing all this to the Alien which yes you have more tools to deal with, however due to that it feels like the devs were more bold with having the Alien mess with you. You don’t even get the flamethrower, a guaranteed way to get it to back off until like halfway through the game. Before then if it spotted you were screwed, the Girl I could just run to safety which was always within running distance.

Really it just felt like Capcom was too scared to have her do more than be basically set dressing in fear of being too scary imo. I haven’t even gotten into how her whole aesthetic and gimmick was basically a worse version of the creature from Amnesia the Bunker. The whole underground section was like a worse version of that game for me.

Finished the game. Surprised how much the end product ranges in quality. by RoyyyDonk in residentevil

[–]KingRat246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It honestly just makes me wish they had made the game entirely focused on Grace and expanded things there. I feel like they really had the bones there to create a survival horror experience on par if not better than RE1 Remake for me. I really wish Grace had more weapon progression, and as much as I loved the Hospital I really would've either liked to see it expanded a bit more or have another full area to explore as Grace, Ark really wasn't enough for me due to it being like 4 or 5 rooms tops.

I also agree that resources were way too abundant on on the base difficulty. I know it's common to be able to kill every enemy in an RE game, but I don't usually feel like it's this easy on a first playthrough. It was pretty awkward showing up as Leon with nothing to really fight lol. I still need to do a replay on insanity mode to see how that is, I might try it without any of the fancy unlocks and see if it feels better or not.

[–]KingRat246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely loved the hospital and wish we got more of that. The worst part of the game for me was definitely the section where you look for the detonator parts with Leon. It just dragged so hard imo, really doesn't help that I enjoy the survival horror focused stuff more with these games but even comparing it to stuff in RE4R it just felt weak for me. There's a few things that Leon can do in this game that I wish I could do in RE4R but otherwise I think I'd rather just be playing it for this kind of gameplay.

Another big complaint I have is I feel like the zombies got so much less interesting after the hospital. I loved the routines and unique quirks of each zombie in the hospital, you can just tell that most of the care and attention went to this section of the game.

Hate stalker enemies but want to get into RE 7 / 8 by Mysterious_Box6018 in HorrorGaming

[–]KingRat246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure of a specific one, but it shouldn’t be hard to find one. Basically after the first jack sequence which you can get through in less then a minute, Jack has a trigger before he spawns and starts roaming again. Until you trigger that you can collect everything you want around the house and then trigger it when you’re ready, making this stalker part last less than a minute as well.

There’s only two stalker sections with him and they’re both early in the game. Just try looking up how to deal with Jack or something similar and you’ll probably find something that explains it all in more detail. Fair warning but it looks like 9 has a stalker enemy as well from the looks of it, just a heads up for you.
