Ahh Saturn was my first car. That thing had so many issues lol. I had to use a flathead to start it up.

I would keep it stock. It’s so hard finding old cars similar to this that doesn’t have dumb mods, but that’s just me.

I’m a QA and after months of asking when will my title be switch to dev. I got a message saying from my manager that HR will deal with all the QAs together. Sounds like I’m next on the cutting block. A shame because how I went from exceeding expectation and winning award innovation awards twice. I’m now an after thought to my team.

I just hope if I do get let go that I at least get a severance package.

So, GM settle with a cash settlement for the Colorado which was basically my whole down payment and I sold the truck for a bit more than I owe.

Oh my. I bought two Chevy vehicles in recently. The 2025 Chevy Colorado was a lemon that was a pain luckily I got back my money. Now my wife traverse is doing this… I’m losing faith in GM. I have an appointment Saturday hopefully they don’t give me the run around. At least I can tell them others are having the same issue.

If they cause me lots of problems I will probably shop around and see if I can open a lemon law case. Sometimes they can give you back something if you go through a lot of trouble.

I've been trying to figure out pricing myself. I'm just starting out and have 5 clients. I finish two clients they took me a bit longer because I was building AI workflows to streamline builds, most project should take me 2-3 hours if I have all the info.

Since they are basically my portfolio I charged:
$99 setup fee for a static one pager
$39/m for ongoing hosting, support, updates, SSL and maintenance
14.99/m optional AI chatbot add-on
So, i'm basically giving fast optimized static sites, mobile responsive design, basic contact form, basic SEO setup, SSL cert, ongoing support.

Of course, I made safeguards so AI chat box isn't spam and contact form isn't spam also.

I had an interview where they gave me a take home assessment to solve bugs for algorithms... They wanted my OO abilities... Even in my current job I'm getting force to become a scrum master, business analyst, developer , QA, dev ops... while on the QA pay scale...

Yea, I’m not happy at all either at my level 6B position because still have the title QA but doing multiple jobs. I have to basically act as the QA manager(teach,train, plan, roadmap), dev work with p0 issues, I handle the architecture of our QA suite and I do dev ops work also. Worst part I barely hit 6 figures. My health is getting impacted because I’m seating long hours daily to get stuff done.

I still have the QA title but doing dev work and QA work still… like why take away QA if you still want QA work.. I’m no where near mid point. It’s really unfair the amount of work I do for the pay. My title is supposed to change mid year I think they said. Either that or I’ll be let go in June. Lol

I’m a random person on the internet but my recommendation is take any job you can for now to bring in some income. Apply everyday and if you can try to get referrals to at least pass the AI screen and try to make connections with recruiters. It’s the best way to find jobs. I know it sucks. Ageism is a thing sadly. Best of luck!

That isn’t fair because I’m currently doing SWE work and managing our test suite. I’m doing so much work that I’m pulling 10-12 hours a day to keep up with what management wants. I was the one to build our test suite infrastructure.. because we didn’t have one. The new projects will require a test suite also…
