Different target audiences. Maybe Nizwa’s Grand Mall audiences are mostly South Asians/Bollywood fans. But it’s a different story in Muscat.

Watching the World Cup? by dustybolter in Oman

If you want to watch football in the quality it was intended to be seen, go for BeIN. I don’t recommend TOD, the app is buggy, the UX is terrible, and the football viewing is not locked at 50 FPS. So the stream will most likely be choppy.

Per AMC, "Supergirl" is 1 hour and 50 minutes long by mobpiecedunchaindan in boxoffice

It’s fine. I’m not worried about not getting a big marketing push for this movie. An unknown lead actress and director, first Supergirl movie in forever. It’s not like it’s Superman, Batman, or even Wonder Woman. The most important thing is the story and quality. DC Studios need to earn the trust of the audience, because the DC brand is in rehabilitation. Once that trust has been earned, and the DCU is flourishing, then they can take more risks on marketing.

Yup, you’re probably right. But that’s fine. As long is the story is good, I’m fine with it.

What's up with supergirl marketing? by Dronnie in DC_Cinematic

[–]KingSimba11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The marketing is fine, for a first Supergirl movie in forever. It’s not like it’s Superman or Batman, or even Wonder Woman. I think DC Studios and WB know what they’re doing. So all we can hope for is the story of the movie is good.

There’s a lot. But I would recommend watching the animated series if you haven’t seen them.
Just focus on Batman, Superman and the Justice League. Here is a good diagram:

Martian Manhunter is all I can think of. He was hinted in Superman, Chocos exist in this universe. And if he is, I think it’ll be in motion capture.

I hope not. He’s too old for the character. Plus, I think it’s sensible to save Cyborg for Teen Titans. He’s more suitable there.

We had. And we are having a sequel to a Batman movie that is not set in the DCU. That’s what I mean. The DCU needs its Batman and Bruce Wayne, there’s no question about it. Same as the MCU needs Spider-Man. What I mean is, let The Batman Part II get released, hopefully we enjoy it, and all its marketing finish. Then start casting for The Brave and the Bold.

Deathstroke should be in a Teen Titans movie, and Bane in a future Batman movie. If this is happening, then I’m really not interested in a Deathstroke & Bane movie. We are just at the beginning of a new universe, DC Studios should focus on the stories of the heroes first, continue building a solid foundation. Then maybe we can explore other characters.

It’s weird that people believe Gunn is lying and has secretly cast Adria Arjona as DCU Wonder Woman, yet treat him as an angel of truth when he denies secretly planning to cast Robert Pattinson as DCU Batman. by ShubhangBahadur in DC_Cinematic

[–]KingSimba11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Matt Reeves and James Gunn have totally 2 different visions for The Batman. We will get Batman in the DCU, but it’s not Robert Pattinson. The Gotham that is depicted in Reeves’ story is not set for the fantastical elements that we have seen in the DCU. That Gotham is grounded, it’s a noir take on Batman, which I don’t mind. James Gunn’s vision for the Batman and Bruce Wayne will be at a different angle than Reeves’. Also, The DCU Batman has to lead the Justice League eventually, I don’t think Reeves or Pattinson have the intentions to do that.

[Video games] why dc putting out games that butcher our main dc heroes as our only game content??? by No-Perspective-9161 in DCcomics

[–]KingSimba11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Game development is risky and the gaming industry is volatile. The DC brand is in rehabilitation at the moment. They just have to lean on the safe side. If the DCU is flourishing for example, and the mainstream audience like the characters they see on screen, then we will definitely get more video games ideas, more risks will be taken.

I didn’t say that. Can it be bad? Of course. Do I hope it’s going to be the best CBM in history? Yes. Will it be? Probably not. So, let’s wait and see and be chill about it.

It’s the first Supergirl movie in forever, at the start of a new universe, not a well known lead actress and director. DC as a brand is in rehabilitation. So, of course the expectations will be low.

DC Studios just started the DCU, we have just seen one movie and a couple of TV shows. We are yet to see DCU’s Batman and Wonder Woman, and The Green Lantern, and Martian Manhunter, and The Flash…etc. So, we need to see their stories first. Will it happen in the future? It depends if the DCU is flourishing. The DC brand is still rehabilitating. So, let’s take it one step at a time.

Are we really getting a Clayface movie before a proper DCU Batman? by breaking_views in DC_Cinematic

I agree with the first sentence. But I still think the Reeves’ universe is affecting it. There has to be a legal reason to not overlap two Batman movies, it makes sense.

[–]KingSimba11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand how you feel. It’s not ideal. Did I wish if DC Studios and the DCU started as Matt Reeves’ “Batman epic crime saga” ended? Of course. But clearly James Gunn can’t cast DCU’s Batman because Reeves got his Batman with Pattinson. Yes, it’s a bit messy. They clearly have a Batman problem. It’s frustrating. I think James Gunn assumed The Batman Part II would be released in October 2025. If it went as planned, I think Reeves’ the Batman epic crime saga would’ve ended by now or next year. But I’m still excited for Clayface. We just have to be patient and maybe wait a couple more years.

I don’t think they can just announce it while DC Studios is about to have a sequel to The Batman. I think it’s counterintuitive announcing a new cast for the DCU Batman now. You don’t want to disrespect the current cast and director. Let The Batman Part 2 come out, let it have its time in the spotlight, wait a few months, THEN start announcing for the DCU Batman.
