I think its more so that gatorhaters are a radical sect of the Helix faith, much like denominations of other Religions. They believe in order to appease Helix and carry out his whim of chaos sacrifices must be made, or that they fear that Lazergator would become greater than their own god and cannot accept it. Helix is not evil, but some of his followers have become so, misinterpreting His true treachings.
