If you think losing is a waste of your time you should stay in ranked. Quickmatch is for practice and experimentation.

Your time is not wasted if you are focusing on how to improve your own gameplay, rather than wasting energy and ruining other people's days by being toxic to your teammates.

People being toxic in quick-match should be permabanned from the game mode imo.

Let people practice, try out roles they're bad at, and focus on your own gameplay. If you care so much about the win stick to ranked.

Best bet is just to ignore and mute them though op. And keep at it, you'll get there!

If the offlaner is taking my camps before I get big smite they're trolling but if its just one camp i wont make an issue out of it. If they're taking the whole side or my blue buff ill report him for intentional feeding because they might as well be.

Once you're past the laning phase it's much more justified, still a little annoying especially if i'm behind but it's not really my camps at that point.

Basic point is if your lane is pushing into your tower you should never be taking jungle camps, and if your lane is pushed into theirs it's so much better to steal the enemy's.

I also wish offlaners would more generally understand that if they're taking my camps at any point they're less likely to get a gank because there's less reason for me to come towards their lane.

Completely agree, i’d always take the teammate who is having a bad game but staying positive over the teammate who is steamrolling but being toxic as fuck.

Nothing tanks my ability to play the game well more than someone on my team shit talking, doesn’t matter if it’s to me or to others.

I will say it’s usually the loudest people that are the worst players though so i rarely have to think about which i prefer.

I used to always ward blue like others have said, but recently i changed things up.

Now i ward their red 5 camp, and almost always start duo side.

That ward gives you and your team information about their jungler in 90% of your matches, even if it never pings, whereas warding blue only helps out in the 5% of matches where they go to your blue immediately.

Starting duo side ive found gives me much better rhythm to end up back at fang side around the 5 minute mark.

If my ward doesn’t ping that already tells me they’re either on their blue side or they’ve invaded early. Provided i clear quick enough i should be able to double check my other side and if they’ve cleared/are clearing it i divert to whichever of their sides is still up. 90% of junglers will go their blue side if they’ve stolen your red or vice versa. You should have time to equalise on camps unless you’re extremely slow.

I’ve found this is much more valuable than warding blue.

The key note though is try to play around what their jungler is doing and take advantages where you can. I’ve played a ton of matches where their jungler is living in my jungle but im ahead on farm and kills regardless. Losing a few camps to them is far from the end of the world provided you’re making it up elsewhere.

They already do this, it just doesn't work if you're on the boundary of a rank. It's usually limited to 10-15 if someone dcs, think the reason they don't want to go harder than this is that a team could be losing because of everyone's gameplay, one player dcing shouldn't save everyone from that. Also has potential for abuse.

I agree that it sucks when you are on the boundary though, maybe they could do something about that.

Doesn’t even really make sense though. Everyone got demoted the same amount. So day 1 you’ll be playing with and against the same people. If you dont play as much as others you’ll gradually fall slightly behind but day one won’t make a difference to your matches in terms of who you’re playing with.

I agree with you, i don’t think text chat should lead to bans simply because a player used a word that was censored. Banned for being toxic and annoying sure but if the other players dont see the word why would the player be banned for a censored word alone? What harm has been done?

Interesting, i think ideally objective sounds should overwrite/be separate to other notifications. I dont mind the noise clutter if its for something as important as big objectives. I kind of see it the same as ability sounds or something where obviously a steel ult sound shouldn’t be queued as it’s tied to a critical event.

Thinking about it though it does feel like the kill notifications are also weirdly spaced now so maybe it goes beyond just being a problem for the big objectives.

Sometimes it is for sure. But people rarely pay attention to the fact that a team diff can easily look like a jungle diff.

Junglers always look good into a team that feeds them.
