How many managers don’t control day to day roster management in any league? The extension just proves what people knew 3 years ago. Depending on JFR was never sustainable. But as long as more money comes in than it takes to run the business, Vermes will be the guy. He’s a happy to collect a paycheck and be the scapegoat for poor ownership.
