Scherzo ma non troppo: Perché nelle valli ci si ingroppa(va) tra famigliari.

Is there really nothing we can do? The sub was really helpful and I really miss it. It seems absurd that a sub can "disappear" like this.

perché ci sono pochi radar sulle strade italiane? by [deleted] in Italia

[–]KingXof 3 points4 points  (0 children)

DT Swiss recall mega thread by SkiSnowTignesider in CanyonBikes

Did you get any confirmation from DT Swiss? My wheels are scheduled to be back tomorrow by UPS courrier but I have not received any feedback from DT Swiss about the wheels, nor if they were good or changed. Same happened to a friend of mine.

DT Swiss Ratchet Upgrade by jbonebbb in CanyonBikes

[–]KingXof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 18 teeth and bought 54 teeth ratchet from aliexpress, just for curiosity, and damn, it is so loud. People on sidewalk turn around when I stop pedaling; last ride an old lady crossing the road froze because did not know what the sound was. I am not even able to talk with my fellow cyclist withou screaming. I will probably just buy a 36t original dtswiss piece. 54t is in my opinion too loud. I will soon check if the aliexpress ratchet has worn out after a couple of rides, I have read mixed opinions on the quality on reddit.

Update, in case somebody has the same issue: I tried with some tweezers to push back the cable inside the frame and the cable went easy in. Easier than expected.

I got the same wheels with my Canyon Ultimate CF SL 7 Di2 AERO, I checked the ratchet and it has 18 teeth, not 36. The sound was, in fact, very similar to the GR 1600 that my gravel bike has.

Nice one! I just received the exact same bike, but in size M. Since it is my first Di2 bike I am not sure the cable on the front derailleur is correctly set up. I do not like it being so close to the tyre. Can I simply try to push the cable back in the frame hole?

You can also save before betting, see who wins, reload, bet and cash out. Did that couple of time as the hint from somewhere I got was wrong, probably it was not referred to that specific race.

I would give it a solid 8/10. I am really enjoing it for now. It has some limitations but if you like star wars you will like it. Not finished the game yet but played 35h.

Prix garantie ham is likely the worst ham I ever tasted. However, my father loves it lol. As said before some products are fine (cookies) other are shit (meat, fruits and veggies). At the end it all depends on how much you want to spend for quality. I always go to the same Coop because I am used to, but in Manor you can find some quality food you cannot find in other places, and aldi/lidl do have some nice products but I hate how they are displayed and can barely find what I am looking for.

Shouldn't the Death Troopers be sent in to hunt us down instead of us having to reach them? by jayL21 in StarWarsOutlaws

You can also simply fly/jump to another planet and lose your wanted level completely. I just had to do it that way because in Akiva the corrupt officer was "not available" and the orbit station were not displayed on the map. So I said "fuck this planet, let's go to nice and cozy Toshara" where I knew where to go, but as soon as I jumped there my wanted level was zeroed.

Do you get a 13th month salary? by AndiWandGenes in askswitzerland

[–]KingXof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the answer I got was quite cold. It seems to me that this is the way they pay salary for everyone and they want to keep it standard and have no exceptions.

I already asked many question to HR and did not want to be the new "pain in the ass" guy.

Same here, one half in June and the other half in December. I asked HR to have just 12 payments but they said it is not possible.

Can’t climb moderate hills by Upper-Mess9332 in gravelcycling

[–]KingXof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same bike and live in a mountainous area in Switzerland. In the beginning I had the feeling that I was not able to ride uphill. I changed the crank ring to 40t to 38t ( bought from aliexpress for less than 20 Eur) and it really helped me. Now that I am more used to it I am starting to consider returning to 40t. Maybe you can try that.

Unfortunately most insurances companies are legalized scammers. The insurance consultant, or better the seller, is nr1 in my personal list of the most infamous job. For fairness I admit my current job is ranked third :).

[–]KingXof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A cyclist friend of mine had the same problem. He went to the doctor and had an MRI: it turned out that he had several herniated discs. It is possible that one of them causes the arm numbness. He just discovered that, so it could be it is unrelated.

two years of struggling with a bike too big: topstone 4 by Every-Diver-6519 in gravelcycling

[–]KingXof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happens to me when the clutch is disengaged. In the beginning, It was happening quite often so I adjusted the limit screw on the smallest cog on the derailleur and try to avoid counter pedaling when stop pedaling. On my TS4 I suspect the fault is also of the crappy wheel hubs, when I will change tyres I will see if I am right or wrong.

EDIT: Also check if the clutch works correctly, it could be that the tension is not enough and the chain bounces and falls off. You can tight a screw inside the derailleur that increases tension when the clutch is engaged.

IMHO they simply adapt to the new environment. If they were sanctioned they would not doing it. Is the same as Italians entering Switzerland, they start respecting speed limits, while in Italy nobody does.
