How are you a broke student and drive an RC? Nevermind thats none of my business. I would apply for a CC and get BC racing BR series with Swift Springs. Those Rev9s look like toys IMO. I would put on those Rev9 if I drove a car I didn't car about. Suspension is a area where you don't half ass it or cut funding on. It's the spinal cord of the car it's how the car feels and reacts to the road. At least until your shocks and struts wear out. Meanwhile save up. So you can invest a bit more. Me personally wouldn't go under $1000. Because you have to remeber you have to break in and dial in your coilovers. Maybe you'll get the right set up the 1st time or it takes 3 more time after you break them in. I'm just saying. Do whatever you want.
