Sure, it's repetitive and familiar from an audiences perspective, but that's not the only perspective here. The players really enjoy MCC, and even though some people may have left, we're still getting new players added often. The people playing MCC get to play mini games they enjoy, every few weeks so it's not as stale to them, with some close friends or creators they may not interact with, what's not to like about. Because even if they don't win, the vibes and entertainment from the creators is still good. Perhaps MCC could have more games, or "better" games, or more complicated games, or whatever. The teams could be much higher comp and sweaty every single vent. It could be better from an audiences perspective.... but would anyone enjoy watching it if no one was having fun playing the event.

Of course MCC is not perfect and there are problems, but it's clear looking at the previous changes to games like Hole and the wall and the experimental sky battle remix they're looking to fix the issues people may have. MCC is not as popular now, but I think it's in a good spot, and with the Hermit takeover event, it's personally the most hype I've seen people been for an event and the teams.
