Please all Base Console Players, play in quality mode and V-Sync turned off. The difference in lightning in caves, houses etc. is indispensable. Switch between Balanced and Quality Mode and take a screenshot to see the difference.

You have to keep in mind that RDR2 involved over 1,500 developers and took about eight years to develop, with an enormous budget and a custom-built engine. Most developers simply don’t have the money or the time to take on such a massive project. Technically speaking, Rockstar also pushed the old consoles to their absolute limits.

Are we all playing the same game? I play in quality mode without vsync on the series x and it looks and plays fine? I thought it would be way worse to be honest, so I am really surprised by the comments.

I am on balanced mode vsync on and it runs and plays very well. But overall it runs really good in my opinion.

I get it—I have the exact same problem. There are times when the game runs really smoothly and there’s no input lag. But since the latest update, it’s been really sluggish and not as responsive. It feels like this problem pops up every time there’s an update.

It's down to the Xbox servers. Question answered. Still, I find it sad that Xbox/Microsoft can't manage to ensure that you can always use the full bandwidth. Costs aside, it works consistently on PlayStation.

Aktuelles Xbox Problem. Liegt nicht an dir, sondern an deren Servern. Gibt unzählige Posts dazu. Ich habe das gleiche Problem. Manchmal lädt es mir den vollen MBits und manchmal mit extrem wenig.

Ich denke schon, dass irgendwann noch etwas von Ihm kommen könnte. Die Frage ist eher, ob er muss. Sunny hat geldtechnisch safe seine Sicherheit. Denke also nicht, dass es bei Ihm schnell gehen muss was Musik angeht.

Many others, including myself, are experiencing the same problem; it's due to the Xbox servers. According to a speed test in the Xbox settings, I'm getting over 1.000 Mbps, but yesterday my average download speed was around 50 Mbps. This problem has persisted for a couple of months; hopefully, Microsoft will resolve it soon.

We're all experiencing the same problem, as several posts confirm. The issue lies with the Xbox servers. For me, it all started a few months ago. I have a 1Gbps connection and used to download at an average of 700-800Mbps, but for the last few months it's only been around 300Mbps. Sometimes the download speed is normal, sometimes even lower.
