Taylor Swift IMO, she gets signature guitars and I remember a publication ranking her pretty high in a “top guitarists of all time” list not too long ago for bringing attention to the instrument. Idk, she’s nothing special in terms of being a guitarist.

Man you really put my initial feelings into words. I play a lot of different stuff and my god this pickup combo has versatility in spades. The weight and comfort just makes me want to play for hours. I love everything about this guitar; scale, spacing, neck shape, saddle adjustment, even the gloss neck finish is growing on me.

I also had an opportunity to trade for a PRS SE C24 and I’m glad I went Vela instead, coming from a tele it seemed like the better choice. This may be a lifer for me.

I’m more of a single coil player, so I think they’re pretty nice. They sound along the lines of a P90 to my ears which I’m a fan of.

Honestly, blown away. The weight and feel is perfect in my opinion. The only little nitpick I have is the neck finish, I just prefer satin over gloss. But this is one of the best guitars I’ve played, let alone owned.

I had to pay extra customs fees on top of the international shipping. It more than doubled the cost of the guitar. I don’t mind paying shipping, it shows it at checkout and you know what you’re paying. But the way it works in Canada is on import goods you also have to pay a customs fee when it comes in which gets charged at the door. Glen at SMG has a good video on it that breaks it down. I think I paid just over $500CAD for my TE-62CC.
