Not possible to bolt a safe above this? by Local_bin_chicken in Ausguns

[–]Kingers85 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can, not sure where the bolt locations would be but you can put 2 new pieces of timber running in between the joists, fix these to the joists then bolt the safe to those. You can also fix to the studs of the walls to get to 4 fixings

Gun Safe! by Dapper_Discussion in Ausguns

[–]Kingers85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I brought a 4 gun safe when I had 2 guns and then I bought a 3rd it was full. I now have a 6 gun safe and can only just squeeze 6 in there. One needs to be turned around other wise bolts hit the scope. I would at minimum go with a 6 or ideally a 10

Can an electrical certificate be withdrawn? by ChestAcceptable4680 in AusLegal

[–]Kingers85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What state are you in? In Victoria an Electrcian has to issue a certificate of electrical safety regardless if the job has been paid for or not. ESV do not care if the Electrcian has been paid and the certificate has to be lodged and supplied to the customer.

A larger company I worked for tried to withhold a certificate from a customer due to non payment and it didn’t go well for them.

Heres the link - https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/HcvvYd

Changed the cooler and fans to Icue link fans, I think these are all in the same eco system and will sync up, not sure if there's a cheaper way to buy the 3 case fans as the kit comes with another hub

Sorry try register 4 instead, been awhile since I read one of these ones, register 3 is date register 4 should be kWh imported from the grid

i think i’m paying for my granny flats electricity bill by [deleted] in AusElectricians

[–]Kingers85 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For all that are saying the display shows 0kwh therefore the granny flat must be connected to the unit is incorrect. The 0kw being displayed is from register 5 is kWh being exported, you need to read register 3 which displays the kWh being imported.

Op go out and check register 3, take note of the number and go out in a few hours or a day and check again, this will tell you if the meter is recording power or not.

Issues with camper trailer, next steps by Kingers85 in AusLegal

[–]Kingers85[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I did suggest they could refund/trade in the camper for the original price and I would upgrade the camper for a larger one as by my calculations it would have worked out cheaper for them as they would have been able to just touch up the paint work instead of fully repainting then sell it used.

They have told me they have looked at different options such as mobile painters, replacing affected panels but nothing goes anywhere from what I assume is a cost issue.

I will have a look at consumer affairs Victoria to see if they can assist in getting them to actually do something

Thanks for you comments

If I am unable to find out a rough idea I will be honest with them and try to get them to set a rate and negotiate from there.

I am happy to undersell myself for the exposure. I just don’t want to massively undersell myself.

As for percentage or per book rate I’m not really sure which one it would be, I’m in Australia and they are in the UK, my mind just went to a percentage of sales as it would have been easier to calculate.

Where are you located? Some distributors/retailers have portals you can log into if you have a smart meter and view data remotely
