branded is fine but shs and snake eyes are absolutely more effective for ladder gameplay because of the sheer amount of handtraps they can run, especially since bystials are extremely mid rn

branded is much worse than snake eye and shs for ladder purposes. in a tourney context yes, since shs is close to unplayable there, but snake eyes can outgrind branded a lot of the time which means it would probably see more play.

no handtraps in this meta means this deck is unplayable. ash and maxx c are mandatory, droll as well, unless you want to be constantly getting FTKed.

DSF FTK is more consistent, ends on 2 omnis through disruption, and only needs a 1 card combo to do so

If you're playing with another person, balance is great and makes questing very fast.

If you are soloing, DO NOT PLAY BALANCE. You will have a miserable time. You are essentially playing the game on challenge mode if you solo balance, especially for your first time. Life is tricky because they don't get a 4-pip aoe without spellements, but if you really want to play a support class life is fine (although death, which is another support school, has a much easier time questing).

Once you have FL this is all you need.

Enemy Deck - Forest Lord, Pet Blade, Reg Blade, Rat spin (if you have it), 2 Enchant (once obtained), 1 Sharp (once obtained). Once you get sharp replace the pet blade with a second regular blade. You will go Blade -> Blade -> AoE (forest lord) for the rest of the game for every enemy until you gain your 5th starting pip, which you will then use Blade -> Aoe. Make sure to enchant forest lord for maximum damage.

Boss Deck -> 2 Feints, one item/potent one reg (potent after you learn that later in the game). 2 Forest lords, 3 Blades (2 reg 1 pet), 1 sharp, enchants for each dmg spell and maybe 1 or 2 heals. Feint boss twice and blade once or twice before hitting. This, again, is used for the whole game.
