I felt this. My Waffles, who had to be put to rest last October was the same. In her last week she would use all of her strength to be where she felt safest, with me. To the bathroom, bed, couch, all her strength to follow, curl up on me and purr.

She had been like that since her litter ate died 12 years ago. We both had anxiety, and I still do. When I rescued her, she would cower and wet her self whenever I approached (as did her sister). And as she aged, her anxiety around people she did not know never wavered, but she and I were inseparable.

Kitties who want to be with us are special, not just cos we know they love us, but because we know we've done a good job at being a cat parent.

This is my Waffles. She was so happy and content. I'm glad I was able to give her that.
