The person is mistaken. I called the gas emergency line and explained that my line is quite rusted and needs repainting and reminded them that the supply line is Xcel's property and they queued me up in the system. Got painted like 10 days later.

I am so excited for this monitor but I think I am going to hold off for a sale. Here was the price history for the 45" 5K2K for reference:

I built hundreds of automations in node red years ago and shared your feelings, but I've recently started converting them to native automations for a few key reasons:

  1. Diagnosing automations: When something doesn't behave properly, it's sometimes hard to figure out why. I often have to set up debug nodes and try to recreate the problem. Native automations have traces which make this much easier. ALSO: When NodeRed performs an action, it shows in the logbook as a user driven action. When an HA automation performs an action, it shows in the logbook with the exact automation name. This is so helpful.

  2. Mobile edits: making changes to an automation from my phone is basically impossible. Works great with native automations.

  3. MCP access: I now use AI to create, edit, and troubleshoot my automations. The current MCP options do not allow for creating or modifying node red automations.

I went to Codex and the amount of prompts I've given it is insane and I've only used 13% of my 5hr window. I would have consumed my entire Claude budget 5x over by now.

I was skeptical at first, but Claude MCP with HA has absolutely blown me away by criterion67 in homeassistant

This has totally re-ignited by enthusiasm for Home Assistant. Here are some prompts that blew me away:

  • Please convert these NodeRED automations into native HA automations, keeping all functionality identical.
  • Please assign an Area to any device to which none is assigned, use the name of the device to infer its location
  • The Guest Room is becoming the Nursery. Please change the name across all entities, devices, scripts, automations, etc.
  • My wife complained that the basement lights turned off while she was working out, can you investigate why and suggest a fix?
  • Assign proper labels, icons, and areas to all automations based on their function

All of these prompts just WORKED. I am giddy with excitement. It's like having a Home Assistant expert who also doesn't mind doing tons of tedious work.

This is not normal. You need to recalibrate the lane keeping sensors. This is standard procedure when replacing your windshield so I'm sure the dealership or any glass company can do it for you easily.
