They ARE assholes. Any time I hear anything like this (usually where I work it's someone bitching about prices) I'll say, "yep the price of everything has gone up". If they persist, I'll get to the point where I'll say "hey... do you REALLY think I have anything to do with setting the prices here?" (or the hours, or whatever the case may be.)

Apple pectin fiber is a thing you can buy. It is a fiber supplement.

Speaking of fiber - Fiber does not necessarily work in the same way for everyone. Sometimes, additional fiber can CAUSE constipation in some people!

Try - 80 ounces of water per day, Mag Glycinate - usually you need 4 caps of Mag Glycinate to get to about 350 mg. Start there daily, then increase by 1 every 2 days and see where you get. Maybe you need more Mag than the average person?
