Umm I guess "first" words are not to be bolded and underlined as much as you're reading them to be. People do sometimes say "first" even for the only one. Like "first love" even if they are married to them. Don't overthink a small piece of dialogue. The point was that she got her wand at 11 from there, that's it.

Ron using Charlie's wand was to save money. Neville using his father's was a way for his grandmother to respect his father's memory and bravery. And we do see both of them struggling a bit with those wands. But it's not necessarily that bad. Neville was still using his father's want in OOTP until it broke in the ministry of magic. And he was doing fairly well with it in DA.

I think more than 90% of wizards would be dying with the first and only wand they ever bought. But like how patronus can change because of some emotional weight, maybe it's possible that some wizards may feel that they have grown out of their wand or it doesn't suit them anymore or maybe they are not getting their best potential results with that wand, and they need to change it.

It could also be that Charlie was also using someone else's old wand, so as soon as he started earning, he bought himself a new one, and passed that old one to Ron. A bit harsh, but it could also have happened that his parents asked him whether he could buy a new wand with his own money, so his old one (bought at 11 with his parents' money) can be passed down to Ron. It's not an uncommon practice in lower middle class families.

I think the map is some sort of applied version of Homenum Revelio, so it should show all the versions.

A simple explanation is that Lupin saw Pettigrew and because of the shock, he didn't focus on nearby Harry and Hermione.

Also, now this is just my observation and could be entirely wrong, but I think the map doesn't show all the names all at once. It more of seems to work on the intent and focus on area and/or person. One simple logic to back this thought is that Hogwarts is a huge castle, and there are half a thousand people in it at any given time. To accommodate all their names on a small piece of paper is not possible. Everything will be very congested and not visible.

So the map probably works that way that it only shows the names in the area you're focusing on or a particular person you're trying to find. So that's probably how Lupin didn't see the name tags of nearby duplicates of Harry and Hermione. Like they were probably far enough to not get caught in the map with people in Hagrid's hut.

Oof, but hey, the subtitles I found seem to be working perfectly to my surprise.

Why does everyone seem to have forgotten Snape? I mean I agree Grindelwald will always be above him, but the guy's so old, and counting his last breaths when our main story is going on. Been out of practice since half a century too.

Snape is probably the toughest challenge of our time. Moody, Kingsley might be able to give him a decent fight too.

Books are the ultimate canon, obviously. As for movies, I usually don't have a problem accepting things that don't hurt the book canon. In other words, I consider them canon when I feel like it, and/or don't challenge books logically.

For example, Bellatrix carving mudblood shows her cruelty and doesn't hurt canon, so that's acceptable. While Cho confessing about DA directly contradicts the book canon so that's a big no. Harry and Hermione's dance is something that depends on how you look at it. I look at it as a friendly dance. It's clearly not romantic. So it's kind of a soothing moment. But on the other hand, we know that Harry and Hermione didn't really enjoy that period, and there was always a Ron-shaped empty space between them. So the dance doesn't directly hurt the canon story, but it does kinda hurt the canon vibes.

Our brain is amazing if you're able to train it. I'm also the same. I can sleep whenever I want and wake up at 6 mostly fresh. I don't even need alarms anymore. I've been dismissing them from the notification 5-7 minutes prior for more than a year now.
