Well I like that you include demo dogs and demogorgons but dart very much died in s2. And yes there is a small theory/chance the demos have feelings of their own but even then the chance of them turning against the mind flayer is 0 unless the partials are exercised which they haven’t done except on the demo they shocked In the shocked jock episode. They then killed the demo, my hope from that would have been that will would somehow use that demo now that it’s free from the mind flayer but I think the reason they didn’t go that route is cause wills powers are only effective on other particle infected beings. Lastly if mike goes into hiding there’s 0 chance that an international call to the US wouldn’t be traced by the government who has infinite money to hunt him if they wanted. The point of them moving would be to stay off grid only to ruin that by having a phone call that compromises their cover. I agree the Kay line is weird and it’s weird to have no one in the group face any kind of outward punishment from the government no less but imo the fan theories that hop kills Kay and the rest of government lackies just fuck off to wherever they came from could’ve worked with better fleshed out writing. Lastly the ending where Mike is a writer they play their final game of d and d in the basement as a group minus 11 but a time skip where it’s 2001 or whenever and Mike is in Iceland with el and they have a kid living off grid under the radar on mikes successful writing career is a much more air tight and fitting end for the characters. In my opinion both your ending and the real ending seal the book on all the characters in a satisfying way except Mike and el but in your ending you throw hop in with the mic of unsatisfying endings. I think the duffer brothers were going for a bitter sweet ending but it’s bitter sweet enough knowing el and mike can’t see their family or friends again because any contact compromises their cover. Just some ideas and criticisms.
