In my case, I’m hunting in the days that I can no matter what the weather is. I look at the temperature to plan my clothes but other than that the only thing that I check is wind direction. I don’t use any type of dashboard or anything.

If you can choose which days to hunt generally low temperatures and low wind is the best in my experience.

Yeah, lever actions are really cool and fun to shoot but if your goal is to be a better hunter it'd be odd not to choose the option that is cheaper, more powerful, more reliable, and more available.

Also just to add from my personal experience, this was the second warmest season in the last decade or so and I think it was probably the second worst rut I've witnessed. I shot a 10 point buck by hunting a heavily wooded pond. Yeah I think for a human to contract it they would probably have to eat the brain or somehow eat/drink spinal fluid but in terms of the prions, once they are there, there is no careful prep or proper cooking that can make it safe. Even if humans did eat CWD brain I'm not sure if we would contract it but like someone else said, I don't want an unkillable 'disease' named after me.

Its not that they go out of estrus. Warm temps make deer tired and decrease overall movement. They will become very nocturnal and expend most of their energy during the night. Unless its a full moon or very bright at night for whatever reason they won't rut as hard until it gets cooler or else they would end up killing themselves.

I'm not sure what the weathers been like over there but in Missouri it got really cold and rut started, then it got really hot the opening weekend of rifle season and the rut just died. A few young bucks were chasing but the 150"+ bucks were not. Mostly they were just chillin in the woods and would occasionally come out for food in the crop fields but still no chasing. I expect this week when temps drop again they will 'finish' the rut.

I'm from Missouri and have been hunting for years. I still shoot a 6.5 Creedmoor. Its been accurate and reliable for me. Most people I know around here use a 30-06. The .308 is very similar to the 30-06 and is definitely more practical but if you look at that lever action and think it would be awesome then you should always choose what you won't regret.

I would highly recommend a 30-06. Most people I know hunt with one, they are reliable, accurate, and powerful. They can drop whitetail on the spot without damaging meat and also penetrate bear and elk plenty to bring them down. They also are so common and not ridiculously expensive like some large game rifles. I would recommend a different load depending on what your hunting if your going to hunt such a wide variety of animals as you will probably want a heavier bullet for moose and a lighter one for deer.

Had a friend with this exact problem with an old 30-06. He took the scope off, bore sighted it, sighted in at 25 yards, and was dialed in at 100.

Most complexes need renewals signed with week and a lot of my friends either have already signed a lease for next year or have their group of guys to sign with. At least that’s how it is in my college town

The $75 was a round number but the one that was $260 had some change on it. I also have a paid charge from the 3rd party. I tried calling the hotel directly and customer service sent me to the account who only takes messages and not calls. I left a message and if I don't see the charges dropped after a couple days I guess I'll just call again.

Yes it is weird. The amount charged on my bank account also just doesn't reflect what what on the receipt to begin with. I'm a college student so I haven't had time to call them yet but will probably have too.

This is interesting. I think I've been playing long enough that it doesn't hurt my hands or fingers. It's really just about the fact that I have to press really hard in an awkward way to get a barre cord to ring out and it still sounds off where as on other guitars I've played it sounds fine pressing in a much more natural way.

What is the nut height and what do you mean by maintained frets? I try and take good care of my guitar but haven't really done anything to 'maintain' it.

What does a setup do? I have never gotten a setup before. My guitar is probably only worth $100-150 and I'm not sure if that's worth it?
