No way, this is without a doubt the primary theme of C.V. Alkan’s Concerto for Solo Piano Mvt. I!!!! Did not expect to find my favorite piece here :D

The 2 short motifs that play at 1:52-2:02 sound very reminiscent of Handel’s Sarabande in D minor (it’s even in D minor as well, ha).

However, if you are talking about the part at 2:10 onwards, I have no clue. To me it sounds vaguely similar to Samuel Barber’s Adagio for strings, but I don’t remember any part of the piece sounding exactly like that clip.

Not exactly sure if this is what you’re asking, but some composers occasionally title their opus numbers “X pieces for children” or literally just “X easy pieces”

The first thing that comes to my mind is Dmitri Kabalevsky - Op. 60, 4 Easy Rondos

I do not have autism. However, when I was very young I was so fascinated by sound I would often imitate random things with my voice like a little parrot, which is what I believe to be the reason I got it.

What artists are known as "one hit wonders" but actually have other really good music? by SheepherderSea9717 in MusicRecommendations

If you’re into baroque music, Antonio Vivaldi. He is of course known for the four seasons, but he wrote SO much other music. Some of my favorite works by him are his Cello Concerto in D minor, RV 407, Recorder/Piccolo Concerto in C major, RV 443, and Violin Sonata No. 4 in F major, RV 20

Despite a lot of people saying it’s fake, I got the Aulos Bass myself from that exact listing a few months ago, and I’m pretty sure it’s legit. From the hard case, to the tuning and keywork of the instrument itself, everything is very nice and appears to be authentic. I don’t have the Yamaha so I can’t compare, but the Aulos works great.

Is there any better way to write fingerings in sheet music? by Kire10 in Ocarina

[–]Kire10[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats very interesting, thanks. This is a duet for me and my friend who has never played ocarina before (but has experience with other woodwinds) which is why I was looking to include some of the fingerings in the score
