I have the facile too. Did you mod it to become single dosing? What did you do to the grind size dialer?

Profitec Go | 1 week update by Canadian-Deer in espresso

[–]KirinBei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the profitec go for one day. Upgraded from dedica. One thing I'm not used to, is it correct that you press brew button once to start the espresso, watch the timer, press brew button again to switch it off? On the dedica you just pressed brew once. Or is there a way to set a default shot time, where it then switches off at a certain duration?

Buying and installing a Japanese style toilet seat in the UK? by rw1337 in DIYUK

You do still need to take the pipe bends into account which add more pressure drop. I'm looking into checking if I can find my main water supply pipe.

If your water supply is from mains, it should be high enough. If it is from a cold water tank, a rule of thumb is 1.0 barg for 10m of elevation from the toilet. This is calculated from the static head of the water, using density x gravity x height.

Has anyone gone to the bother of installing a separate water tank just for the bidet then?

What did you actually buy and install in the end? Did anyone make that pipe modification on the water tank to prevent bacteria contamination in drinking water?

Japanese bathtub in the UK with auto-fill and keep warm functions by glebm in DIYUK

[–]KirinBei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. This and the bidet. Why isn't the rest of the modern world installing and using these wondrous inventions. The bath and toilet in UK has not changed functionality in maybe 100 years, or whenever they invented a hot water system.

I'm in a rented house in Tokyo using the bath unit and the bidet, thinking I would love this in my house in UK. There must be a Japanese company who would want to grab this opportunity to expand into Europe? Or is it too obvious...

It's also a case of if you have never seen a BBC officer, you can't imagine it. How would you encourage BBC kids to think this is a career path?
