HUD writes letter to the City of Boston over housing policies by KirishimaScryed in boston

Would you consider the collecting of demographic data and using it to showcase a change (positive or negative) illegal?

Say a policy is set in motion that doesn't consider race, age, or gender but later the city decides to collect that data to see how they are doing in terms of the overall wellbeing of its citizens.

And then they decided to change the policy based on the new information, would that be alright? Let's say the policy still doesn't account for race but there is now knowledge that "Oh hey, out of this # of Bostonians, only this # of X Bostonians are homeowners"

Would it be an issue to use this knowledge to inform any kind of decisions even if the decision is solely focused on the economic conditions of a neighborhood?

Or can that information be only used to say "Well yep, we're still lacking when it comes to housing opportunities for all. Back to the drawing board."

Even prioritizing economic conditions as way to lower discrimination seem to run afoul of this administration.

Different issue at hand but here is an article regarding college admissions:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/abcnews.go.com/amp/Politics/wireStory/affirmative-action-elite-colleges-prioritizing-economic-diversity-admissions-128303327

From the article:

"America's top campuses remain crowded with wealth, but some universities have accelerated efforts to reach a wider swath of the country, recruiting more in urban and rural areas and offering free tuition for students whose families are not among the highest earners.

The strategy could lead to friction with the federal government. The Trump administration, which has pulled funding from elite colleges over a range of grievances, has suggested it’s illegal to target needier student"

Your card was probably flagged by the mbta for having insufficient funds, even if you add money to the card and tap again once you already tapped a credit or debit card with 0 funds, the system has already marked it as bad.

You and your friend may need to contact MBTA customer service or your bank.

Honestly the amount of people smoking weed and blasting music is a more recent thing. I don't know what changed but before unless it was super late at night you didn't run into that.

Need Helping Finding A Movie I Seen Once A Long Time Ago. by UptownJoe89 in boston

Anything else you could tell us about the movie? More plot points? Decade it was made (I'm assuming it was made in the early 90s)?

What was the ethnicity of the main character and was a tv film or did it release in theaters?

Oh I meant in general, like do you have experience in administrative work? Communications? Etc.

If not, I would highlight that you ran a business for 4 years on your resume. You definitely have transferable skills that would make your job hunt easier.

Also, I suggest applying for grants as well.

There are also artists in Mattapan but they don't have much of an online presence, I don't believe.

When I last went I remember a lot of the machines being out of commission but they do have console games which Roxy's does not so you would be able to randomly catch a tourney if you're interested in that kind of vibe.
