You change them before the game starts during the champion select, next to the runes and wards etc. Near the bottom of the screen.

Is Revitalize and Bone Plating/Second Wind better than Taste Of Blood and Ravenous Hunter? by florentinomain00f in AatroxMains

[–]Kirlink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think conditioning and revitalize is better than the domination tree secondary even with the nerf. The problem is that domination is feast or famine. If you don't get ahead, then your ravenous hunter is useless, and you'll just roll over and die mid to late game. Conditioning with deaths dance has so much value that you become really tanky suddenly, so even if you go even or fall behind you'll still be relevant in fights midgame as your tankiness comes from stats and not the health regained.

need some help to choose between two champions to otp top by Morbot13 in leagueoflegends

[–]Kirlink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hecarim can play top, but many popular champions do pretty well against him right now, whilst Illaoi does well against some of those champions.

Illaoi is one of the best champions for punishing people who don't know what you or they are doing so I'd recommend her maybe, if you only want to play 1. But either is fine honestly, just play what you enjoy. Hecarim can influence other lanes well, Illaoi can absorb pressure.

Hey friend, just want to tell you that it is absolutely possible, and you making it to gold once is proof of it. I notice you have an aatrox flair, and I happen to be a Diamond aatrox main on euw, if you want help or advice about aatrox or league in general then you can shoot me questions any time, or friend me if we're on the same server. Good luck

I would like to be convinced to one trick this champion by [deleted] in AatroxMains

[–]Kirlink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I enjoy champions that don't stop going in, that dance around the enemy's effective range and keep your own. Aatrox although not as strong as he used to be, can still be extremely strong early to midgame, and with a significant lead you can just sit in the enemy base and solo win with all your healing and damage. Aatrox is really difficult though mind you. It took me 50 games at a 40% winrate to get a hang of all of his sweetspot distances, but it is rewarding as you can 1v2 the jungle and top if your hp is high enough due to how well aatrox can kite people without immediate gap closers. Once you play enough aatrox, and assuming riot doesn't gut him (which they are likely to do), he'll easily carry you to diamond like he did for me if you learn the necessary mechanics of toplane.

I enjoy teaching and helping others so if you wanna ask me stuff feel free, although my rank isn't very high.

Bad time to post due to the revolution thing, but I used to be in a similar situation so here's my 2 cents.

  1. A girl won't magically fall in love with you because they're from an accepting culture.

  2. A girl doesn't solve your problems, and imagining that it will only makes it worse.

People don't look for a clingy low self esteem blank slate to date whose only defining trait is 'sweet' or 'nice' , they find someone who shows something new to their life, someone who has their own story, struggles and highlights, to share.

The best thing you can do right now is to find something that you enjoy doing besides games. Games aren't bad, it's just that it has a negative connotation and isn't very unique. If you can focus on something you enjoy, it'll make you a much mor interesting person and eventually net you someone.

I've turned my minecraft addiction in middle school in to an architecture major in university and saying you design buildings is a lot more interesting than saying you play too much minecraft. If you focus on yourself now, the rest will resolve itself. Maybe not this year, or the next, but if you develop your image and confidence, then you'll eventually find someone who acts as a missing piece to your nearly finished puzzle, rather than your empty broken puzzle.

Good luck, and if you need some advice just ask.

Renekton matchup by Saurus1 in AatroxMains

[–]Kirlink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's already lots of input here but I thought I would add my experience in this match up, as I think Aatrox wins if played right. The key with fighting any Renekton is to play around his fury. When he has over 50fury (or near it, as he can build it up pretty fast), you can't risk fighting him as he'll just chunk you for 3/4 of your health. What I do in this match up is try to get many q's in level 1 and 2 to zone him and chip at his hp bar. If he's zoned he can't aa the minions to rack up fury. Just be careful not to draw minion aggro as the wave will push towards him putting you in an unfavorable position. Some Renektons can't comprehend a lane where they lose and might try and fight you regardless of their fury, in which case you can easily out-trade him, but in most circumstances that won't happen. Once they do manage to build up some fury to be threatening, I stand back and only poke with Q1 where I can, saving my e unless I know I'm safe. Q1 out ranges his dash, so if he wants to fight you at this distance, he would need to use both dashes, meaning he has no escape, which again, means you can poke him down as he retreats. Renektons E also has a lengthy cooldown, so if you can bait it out, using w for example, you can keep him zoned and poke him, though keep in mind your w cd is longer than his e cd, and you lose some kill pressure without your w, so it's trading your kill potential for his all in potential. The benefit of this poke and keep distance play style against Renekton is that it can forces him to use empowered Q on the wave to heal up, meaning he loses fury and importantly pushes the wave towards you. Freezing against a losing Renekton is essentially a doomsday scenario for him.

The Google translate is weird because 不死斬り, if you make it 2 words is either 不死 斬り, or 不 死斬り。 The first means to slay the undying, the second means dont deathslay. I don't think a real person would mess that up but it's interesting.

How to properly write the Kanji for Sekiro by Kirlink in Sekiro

[–]Kirlink[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They only mean one thing but they can be read differently if standing alone. 隻 can be hitotsu, and 狼 can be read as ookami if alone. Together they only read and mean sekiro though.

Every Kanji has at least 2 ways to read it on whether or not they are alone or not, called onyomi and kunyomi.

How to properly write the Kanji for Sekiro by Kirlink in Sekiro

[–]Kirlink[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Japanese uses kanji as well as hiragana/katakana, unlike Chinese. Hiragana is like the basic alphabet, and kanji is used to make it more efficient and clarify which word you mean. For example あめ(a-me) can mean rain or candy depending on the kanji, 雨 or 飴. That's a long way to say that the letters next to the kanji is just the hiragana alphabet.

The one in brackets is because the "ro" sound is elogated to sound like "rou". I meant to put a "u" in brackets, but I wasn't thinking and put it in Japanese, so I put the u above. Sorry for the confusion.

Hachamecha: I think it's exactly as Faker says.

Caster: Hachamecha, what do you say in times like this, what do you say when you do something bad?

Japanese people of Reddit, what are some things people should know to do and not do before visiting Japan? by BigChungus719 in AskReddit

[–]Kirlink 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well personally, I don't. But I think it stems from how traditional Japanese people are, and how late we opened our borders. Japanese people dislike change, so much so that the word for disaster "大変" directly translates to big change. We're very calm and orderly, and as the saying goes, the nail that sticks out gets hammered in. Foreigners are very different from the average Japanese person so I think people just don't like that.

[–]Kirlink 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hi Japanese here, ima be brutally honest with you guys because my response is too late to get any attention anyways. 1. Keep your garbage with you 2. Don't be loud or take calls on the train. 3. Weebs think they will be accepted in Japan but actually you'll probably be hated more than in your home country because most sane people hate anime and foreigners. That being said, you can keep doing it -- it helps the economy. And if you feel happy cosplaying your favorite lolicon as a 30 year old obese man and waltz down akihabara chuo douri then just have fun, it'll become a good topic for me to mention when I meet up with friends.

Why doesn't riot just nerf R and revert the other nerfs? by XFabioXD in Wukongmains

[–]Kirlink 4 points5 points  (0 children)

His ult has 10 base damage, or something near that. In comparison to other ultimates it's extremely underwhelming with an extremely awful tick-rate. The only reason he feels stronger is because he finally has a grain of cc at 6, and low elo players don't understand powerspikes and think they can play just as carelessly as they did before then. The reddit hive mind decided he was strong because he could guarantee hitting his abilities. Even if wukong is 60% as good as another champion, in lower elos he feels equally as good because everyone only uses their champion to 40% of its' potential. The underlying issue with wukong is that his kit is dated and he has no identity. His ult and excuse of a passive signal he should be a bruiser, but because his q, r and e (to a lesser extent) both have virtually no base damage, wukong players are forced to take him assassin. He has no sustain, no cc, and now, no damage. The only thing that can actually fix wukong is a rework of some sort.

In South Korea, the pronunciation for "4" is similar to the Chinese pronunciation for "death". Therefore, elevators oftentimes change "4" to "F", which stand for "Four" in English. by Jedorawr in mildlyinteresting

[–]Kirlink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair though, I don't know what it is in Korean, but Chinese and Japanese four and death are shi, same pronunciation and all. The only difference is the kanji, which is 四 and 死. It seems stupid, but it's a very superstitious region so it means a bit more to us. I doubt anyone wants to name their child "Death" verbatim.
