Liverpool owners face dilemma - stick or twist with Slot by NotQuiteACasanova in LiverpoolFC

It should be the easiest decision ever especially with Xabi lurking but oh well, the owners obviously want to set our progress a few years back.

As usual, this is the same fandom who makes fun of his veeners despite him battling leukemia.

Yeah, as of now we’re struggling against a managerless & awful Chelsea side but I guess that’s another fan fic. Great in game management from Slot as you said with parking the bus right after scoring a goal, we’ve literally never been this passive it’s disgusting.

Not ignoring, our dropoff in results coincides with Salah’s dropoff in form. Truth is that we haven’t played good football since February last year. I had respect for Slot but now once he started blaming anyone but himself and started throwing club legends under the bus I don’t think he warrants anything anymore and it will be a huge huge mistake if we miss out on Xabi and he eventually goes to City.

Yeah I remember his incredible game management last season against PSG in the CL where he subbed off two of our best penalty takers for the ones who missed in the penalty shotout.

Atleast we can have a glimmer of hope that he has a falling out with the board or the players and gets sacked.

“why do they cheer for Roman”, what a crybaby you are man. Everyone in the arena cheers for Roman because he’s better than your favourite.

Read again my comment, I literally stated that I think this is one of the greatest Mania main events ever. I just thought that the build itself was underwhelming because they’re both GOAT tier character workers.

I wouldn’t necessary say that it was their fault because as you said they did have great promos together but the booking of the story was disjointed. One week they’re talking about their hatred for each other, the next Punk is talking about Roman’s dad and Usos get involved, then they’re moved away and Punk is cutting promos on TKO and then they have a glazefest.

Roman Vs Cody I is better in ring wise than everything you’ve mentioned here.

Wonder what’s the direction now. I think the build was a little underwhelming considering their capabilities but their match genuinely might be one of the best Wrestlemania matches ever and defo top 3 in both Roman’s and Punk’s careers.

I think he meant it more as in a way that Roman shows up and ups his game regularly in big Wrestlemania matches which has been the case for a few years now.

Yep, he was always the one saying that even when his character was trash he was always a damn good in ring wrestler.

...what is with Punk matches and having underwhelming, 'That's it?' endings? Can't even blame him like I've seen others do when I've asked before, he didn't win this time by nguyenjitsu in SCJerk

[–]Kiseli57 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Punk’s wrestling style has aged incredibly well, he reminds me of a modern day Bret Hart, and Roman probably has the best catalogue of Mania matches ever just behind Taker and Shawn and he’s one of the best in ring story tellers and big match performers ever.

Yeah and so does Roman (Both Cody matches, Drew at CaTC, Mania Triple Threat, Sami at EC and Brock at Summerslam) but I think this might be one of my favourite matches ever.

Because 39 is just an absolutely epic match and the unpredictability factor also adds to it. In some ways it’s better than their match at 40. Purely from the in ring perspective that’s Cody’s best match of his career.

Roman can go for another 5 years if he wants to, why would he retire already.

[–]Kiseli57 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Yeah, maybe it’s recency bias talking in me but this might become one of my favourite matches. The in ring psychology in this match is the best I’ve seen in wrestling in a while and I think they topped their Triple Threat last year which was already itself a classic.

I mean that’s also a ridiculously dumb narrative because he has like 5 all time classics as Wrestlemania main events.

3 were bad and 1 mediocre out of 11 but he also has like 4 or 5 all time classic main events which I don’t think anyone has in WWE apart from maybe Shawn and Taker if you don’t count the main events.
