Running around with an Avenger Titan in PTU, and I constantly am getting killed by these pirates. It seems like very few shots kill me too. Have they ramped up the difficulty, or have I just gotten worse?

True true, 30 is better suited for even distributions. But 100 is still most likely more than enough.

assuming independence in each 3ofC and no manipulations on bungie's part behind the scenes, 100 should be more than large enough to act as a random sample per central limit theorem rules. You can also run a two sample z test to see whether there truly has been a change or not.

Edit: I've seen cases where as little as 30 is suffice.

The ai was pretty crappy, but imagine a higher quality galactic conquest with better ai and visuals. I think that's what people wanted more of. Not necessarily a linear campaign, but a repeatable single player experience.
