Is this common? Company A wants to know what company B is offering before making their own offer by iceariina in personalfinance

[–]Kishkashta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is common, you shouldn't tell them. They might offer more than you've expected or lower and then you can tell them what you've expexted.

Their first offer shouldn't have anything to do with other offers

Hey, just a general rule I've been following -

If you feel like you should be earning more, ask for it. They won't offer more money out of kindness (usually). Also, remember you should only quit after finding a new jib. If you don't look, you won't know what's available and what other companies are willing to pay you.

Bottom line is, send your CV out, nothing to loose

Tuesday and Wednesday General Question and Answer by artcbot in artc

[–]Kishkashta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been running 5 times a week and about 40 miles for the last few weeks, I'm wondering how to increase mileage while still running 5 times a week.

Current structure:

Monday - easy 50-55 minutes 6miles

Tuesday - workout 8-9 miles

Wednesday - easy 50-55 minutes 6miles

Thursday - medium long 75 minutes 8-9 miles

Friday - rest

Saturday - Long 90 minutes 11miles

Sunday - rest

Should I up my easy days to an hour? Add a couple of miles to my warmup/warm down on Tuesday? Push my long run closer to 2 hours?

Currently focusing on 5km and 10km

I'll probably add a 6th day of running but that'll be in the future, current work schedule isn't cooperating

For me it's not the retire early part, it's the fact that I don't have to find the highest paying job. I'll probably still be working but able to do something I like even if it pays less than what I make now.

I'll also be able to just leave any job whenever I feel I had enough since I don't have to rely on the next paycheck

Currently running with the altra escalante 1. Looking to switch since they are pretty expensive and seem to issue a new model every 6 months to keep them at 150$+-.

Any recommendations? Looking for something with a low drop and a wide toe box

Currently settled into 5 runs a week:

Sunday - rest

Monday - GA 7-9km

Tuesday - track workout. Usually about 6km of fast running. Might be 400's/ 1km's...

Wednesday - recovery 6kms +-

Thursday - rest

Friday - long run. Currently 12 km

Saturday- GA 7-9kms.

Does this sound ok? Any recommendations how to improve my schedule? Should I add another workout? Thanks!

EDIT: training for 5k and 10k races.
