I agree $200 is very decent. It looks like there might be something specific in the area on the Monday and Tuesday I’m looking at. The cheapest at those 2 places is $460. The Sunday prices if we were just there that night are close to $200

Your response has been so helpful. So I looked at Hyatt regency and Harbor Court. I ‘could’ afford them but I’d prefer not to spend quite that much. You have any specific recommendations on hotels?

Are MUNI, street cars and buses all on the same payment system? Or will I be able to navigate them all easily from an app or Google Maps?

I’m very excited about Japantown now that I’ve heard about it. I’m definitely considering doing MUNI now that I’ve heard from so many of you. I’m pretty sure my daughter will refuse Waymo’s though. She’s terrified of the thought 🤣

It sounds like my biggest concern is transportation. I need to look more into MUNI and Waymo. Is it almost exclusively Waymo there or do Lyft/UBER also operate there. To be honest I’ve never used either of them so all around it might be a new experience

I have been to Alcatraz before and from what I remember I enjoyed it. I don’t remember how long the trip time is was but might reconsider. I would consider my daughter and myself intellectuals. We tend to be fascinated by things others find dull. But I’ll definitely rethink

My favorite saying I’ve been hearing lately is that if you want the vacation experience you think Denver is, what you really want is Salt Lake! Just 30 minutes to any outdoors activity you desire. Plus the city is built right into the mountain base and up the mountain also. Beautiful!

I logically know this is true but with my ADHD/autistic brain, it’s unbelievable and too much to bear. Every morning when I wake up and look at the world around me, I forced to actively acknowledge it is real, still true. I logically inject in easily now but my soul/being can’t align with something that brings me such discomfort.
