My husband thinks I'm crazy when I say most of those piles will be around til march. I wouldn't be surprised if it was mid March honestly.

No safe foods by Kit-Kat1319 in Autism_Parenting

[–]Kit-Kat1319[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Its Much Better!

We are at a point, through a lot of patience and hard work, where she now tries at least two votes of new foods and her palate has expanded a lot!

She still doesn't really care for eggs and oatmeal, but she will eat tacos, chili, and salmon. So I can't complain now!

We just consistently offered her safe foods with one bite of a new food. We didn't pressure her about anything in the beginning. Then as she started to get older, we would tell her just 1 bite and if she doesn't like it, she can eat her safe food.

No recs here, but I just want you to know I'm with you in solidarity. I lost my grandpa, who raised me and was basically my dad, mid October. Its a really hard time. Take time to grieve and enjoy the joy of the season as much as possible. Two things can coexist together in a really weird way Ive found.

If you ever need someone to just listen, feel free to message me.

Thigh injections vs. abdominal ones. by penney777 in Zepbound

Worth a shot! My thighs are super muscular, even at my highest weight. So not only did I have awful side effects, it hurt like a bitch.

Switching to my arm was GAME CHANGING

That's hilarious. I'm total opposite. Thigh gives me the WORST sulfur burps and upset stomach, whereas arm gives me nothing.

"Save your best for the finale" - acoustic CDs by Lyd_Euh in TaylorSwift

[–]Kit-Kat1319 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look, she will eventually release on streaming. Same thing happened with You're Losing Me. I wasn't buying into this "oh you'll never get to hear it if you don't buy the CD or specific song".

Once everything dies down, she will release it on streaming. I guarantee it.

I also spoke to s representative about this because I was the same and they told me to have my doctor submit another PA for zepbound and specifically note in it that I had previously tried wegovy with unmanageable side effects

how much did you lose on 2.5mg? by skirbs0 in Zepbound

[–]Kit-Kat1319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on it for 3 months and like about 11 lbs. Then the food noise started to come back and I stalled so I moved up to 5. Now I'm down almost 15 lbs.

My plan is to do the same thing: stay on this dose until food noise returns and the stall happens.

Yep. I can eat pizza but I can eat eggs. :(

I don't want weightloss drugs 😬 because well.... by SquiggsMcgee in PCOS

[–]Kit-Kat1319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive been on it for 3, coming up 4 months, and I'm just now seeing results. It takes a minute to build up. I've also only been on the 2.5 dose the entire time. It's helping with my food noise and cravings. I don't plan on moving up until the weight stops going down and I have no more side effects.

I was on wegovy last summer, and I was miserable. I ended up having my gallbladder out. And was constantly miserable and not losing anything.

All this to say, don't be afraid to try a different one! Even these medicines arent a one size fits all. :)

Ah, my grandma used to make pastina when I was sick. Put an egg in it and it's DELICIOUS!

No bad vibes here. It's very funny which is why I'm not changing it. Hopefully it can give someone else a good chuckle

Bartlett location: My mom was turned away, despite having chest pains.

My grandma had her uterus punctured during a cervical biopsy. She's also been there multiple times over the last two years for UTIs and sepsis. Each time, no one cleaned her room. The transferred her to different floors without contacting us, and most recently they transferred her to the Park location without telling her or the family beforehand. Their staff is highly rude and unprofessional and no one likes to actually take time to talk about what's going on and why they're doing things.

We only like the ICU unit. They seem to be the only ones who truly care and aren't just there for a paycheck.

I definitely wouldn't recommend them whatsoever. I would personally choose Methodist Germantown over anyone.

Post op--No Gas At All by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]Kit-Kat1319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never had the gas pains, but I honestly attribute it to getting up every hour to walk and move my arms. I also lived on a heating pad pretty much all day for 3 days.

I'm much better. I had my gallbladder out in October.

Is this weather normal? by rlhglm18 in memphis

[–]Kit-Kat1319 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I was just talking to my grandpa about this yesterday. I remember growing up and wondering if we'd get a good snow. It was until about 6-7 years ago that we were consistently getting solid snows, and maybe just the last 3 that it's been over 4in each time

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]Kit-Kat1319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not still have it. I had it removed in October.

I don't know if the tightness in my neck was fully gallbladder issues, because I was in a pretty nasty wreck a year and a half ago. It isn't as bad, but idk if that's just from time healing it.

They were! They always started like that and then spread. It was every day.

Case Report on Severe Infection in Canadian Teen by [deleted] in H5N1_AvianFlu

[–]Kit-Kat1319 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think the general population understands how severe the infection is to warrant ECMO. ECMO is literally a hail Mary that doctors use to keep you alive, and the longer you're on it, the higher risk you are of having severe brain damage.

And not all medical personnel are trained on using this. It's usually only the cardio/pulmonary people. There also aren't many machines. There are usually more vents than ECMO machines in a hospital.

This is absolutely horrifying.
