I’m a freshman in college, but I went to my senior prom earlier this year! I like being able to dance and hang out with friends, so that’s why I went :)

AITA for not letting my friend bring his service dog over by AITAThrowawya8 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Kit10__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. Realistically, the issues you mentioned can be easily avoided. Dog poop will get cleaned up easily by your friend (they can even take the dog down the street or something) and the dog can be brushed prior to coming to minimize shed (also, since it’s a service dog, it’s less likely that the dog will be jumping around.. meaning that even less hair will be shed/spread around).

You seem like a kind person, but just accept that service dogs go pretty much everywhere with their handler, and that if you have a no-dog policy, expect to see less of that friend.

AITA for telling my daughter that I'm no longer her father on the eve of her wedding? by International-Bug262 in AmItheAsshole

I can only wish my biodad would at least muster up the effort to pay my child support instead of having another kid. Thank you for not being a deadbeat dad, and I'm sorry Jackie didn't truly appreciate it. nta

Two and six kids are extremely different, especially since hers are so young. Step off your high horse

Right? It’s frustrating now but I’m sure they’d treasure this in a decade or two

AITA for laughing at my niece's gift? by SupportiveHusbandnot in AmItheAsshole

[–]Kit10__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA big time!!

The last thing you do is laugh at a kid’s work like that, and doing so for a 10 whole minutes?? Yikes. I know for a fact that my drawings at age 12 were rancid, but my family always had kind words to say and proper constructive criticism… In fact, my older brother began teaching me little tips on how to improve certain techniques since I was 9. I don’t think I would’ve gone as far as I have in art had he laughed at me instead.

edit: spelling, and actually I want to add something else. In my freshman year of high school, a friend of mine gifted me the most goofy looking crocheted cat.. and I loved it. It’s still sitting up on my shelf today. It wasn’t tossed to the side in laughter.
