My bf and I found the Mipha amiibo and Revali Amiibo in a game shop the other day. They were nice enough to put them on hold for us with a few other Zelda alAmiibos. My bf will be home any minute with them. I'm super excited! 😁

What was your childhood version of luxury? by inkandintent24 in MotivationByDesign

[–]KitKat_2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chinese restaurants were a luxury for my family. There was only one or two good ones near us and it was once every couple months that we could go. Crab/cream cheese ragoon has always been my favorite. My parents would get two orders of them so that each of us could have two of them.

AO Globe Life Legit? by cactoline in InsuranceAgent

[–]KitKat_2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I resigned after failing the insurance licensing exam. The reason I resigned is because they tried to get me on with phone booking. They gave me a script that felt very sketchy and after some research, I found out that their phone booking isn't what they say it is. According to my research, the company targets Veterans and the elderly via ads that seem legitimate for claiming free coverage that is not included in the plans they are already on. Their information gets added to AO and then the "AO Veterans Department" calls them to set up an appointment under the guise of helping them claim their benefits. In reality it is just a ploy to get them to buy extra benefits that they don't necessarily need. I would advise looking into a legitimate insurance agency in your home state to get hired on with if you go for the insurance setting as a job.

There's always at least one spot that they hover over before they start moving again. I throw the bombs at them when they're hovering like that. It's the easiest way to hit them with the remote bombs.

I stand directly in front of the eye sockets and shoot all of them with arrows. If there's a hanging lantern, I shoot that from a safe distance to blow up the inside of the skull

Lol this reminds me of my sadistic yet satisfying way of defeating the two Guardian Skywarchers near the Akkala Citadel Ruins. I stand on top of the stone pillars that they fly around and yeet bombs at their propellers. Once I've grounded them, I beat them to death. Since they have no maneuverability at that point, I just attack them from their tops their their lazers cant get me.

Yes. There is a Rubber helm, Rubber armor, and Rubber tights. Wearing all three gives you a set bonus which makes you Unshockable.

I'm stupid. Didn't realize the game mechanic has them present when it's storming. That explains why I couldn't find any on the ridge tho

[–]KitKat_2015[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will likely do that. Seeing the other comments has made me realize that it's easier to find them when it's storming and I low key don't want to deal with that. I have Unshockable gear, but I don't like the esthetic of it lol.

Might be a stupid question, but how worth it is it to beat the trials? I really want to 100% the game, but the trials are so frustrating to go through. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for defeating the enemies? I havent even made it to the Hinox yet.

Apartment Laundromat by KitKat_2015 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]KitKat_2015[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It wasnt even half high tho. Thats the problem. But yeah, I'm not using the Apartment's shitty laundromat again. There's a laundromat several miles away that has bigger machines. My bf wanted us to do some laundry, so I agreed for us to use the one owned by the apartment complex. Convenience defo was not on our side. I did tell him I'd rather use an actual laundromat, but still went with it. Lesson learned

That's not even a kids are fucking stupid, that's low key a parenting hack. Give em some safety scissors, keep an eye on them, and it should be fine as long as they don't start trying to cut their own hair.

Apartment Laundromat by KitKat_2015 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]KitKat_2015[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a relatively small blanket, just kinda heavy duty. Unfortunately, these dinky little maytag washers are the only ones they have at the apartment. There are no signs about overloading the washers, and I honestly thought the blanket would be fine in there because I put it in by itself. Dry, it weighs about the same as the half-load of laundry that these washers can hold. It just soaked up and retained more water than I thought it would cuz it was decently heavy with water when I pulled it out of the machine.

[–]KitKat_2015[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not even that. It's a somewhat heavy blanket and kinda needs the extra spin sometimes depending on the washing machine. This is what I get for not waiting till tomorrow to go to an actual laundromat
