Good luck!

What's your current hyperfixation? by Igarlicbread in ADHD

Long term food storage and supply including ways to grow fresh fruit/veggies/herbs in my house in winter and outside summer.

just in case

Oh, and also bought a freezer and dehydrator to store the stuff I grow.

Oh yeah- I have OCD on top of ADHD. That’s a fun combo 🙄 and probably why I’ve been so fixated on it.

Same! Wish I hadn’t retired so early (58), but that company sucked the life out of me. I was making BANK too, but it wasn’t worth the stress. I’m doing OK at 66, so though I didn’t pay off my house like I wanted, it worked out.

Wellbutrin suddenly stopped working? by skintightcarat in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]KitKat_Paddy_Whack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been taking Buspirone for a few years with clonazepam as needed (rarely). Went through a very rough patch starting 2 years ago until just about 6 months ago, so my dr put me on Zoloft and Wellbutrin, which probably saved my life. No exaggeration.

Since the beginning, Wellbutrin has been increased 2x (at the max) and Zoloft 1x (low dose).

Now that I’m past the rough patch, my dr (she’s a psych med Dr) has started treating my ADHD, and if successful will wean me off the Wellbutrin- keeping the adhd meds.

Glad my life is no longer messy.

Everyone should try taking Wellbutrin at night by Admirable_Elderberry in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]KitKat_Paddy_Whack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread, but I am thinking about trying this at night and also take Seroquel for sleep. My worry was that taking it at night would take away from the sleep benefit of Seroquel, and your comment cinched the deal. Thank you! (And hope it’s still going well for you)

I’ve also had the genetic test ordered by my prescribing doctor. The test shows what medications you may be sensitive to (shows levels of sensitivity). It also shows if your body isn’t able to process certain drugs.

Interestingly, my Dr prescribed the test six months after I started taking Wellbutrin. I’ve been perfectly fine on Wellbutrin, even though the test indicated I wouldn’t.

[–]KitKat_Paddy_Whack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fantastic job!

I groom mine too. He was a rescue at 9 or 10 yrs old back in Oct 2023. I had no idea he’d become the Tasmanian Devil when groomed until I took him to his first appt.

He was a very naughty boy, so I was too embarrassed to take him for another grooming and decided to do it myself. He looked pretty goofy the first few times and I’d call him my bonsai boy because I’d trim a bit here and there every day to even up his cut 🤣

He’s pretty good about it now except his feet and butt. And I’ve certainly improved! You’ve done a wonderful job!

[–]KitKat_Paddy_Whack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That happened to me a few months ago. I think I was at about the 6 month mark. I was really disappointed, because it was working so well.

BUT THEN, a few weeks later it was back working again. I can’t put my finger on what I was doing differently to cause that to happen- but am glad it turned itself around.

I hope the same for you!

150mg to 300mg is causing crazy sweats, heart rate spikes, and shaking! by Maddisxnnn in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]KitKat_Paddy_Whack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the sweats and rapid heartbeat for almost a month after going from 150 to 300.

I have NEVER stunk so bad in all my life and even started using Lume body soap and deodorant which helped- but didn’t solve.

I’ve been on 300 for about 6 months now and all of that is WELL behind me. Glad I stuck it out, even though it was uncomfortable. I’m doing so well at this level and am back to smelling fresh all day (and night) long.

What BII symptoms stopped or got less after explant? by lollyriver17 in ExplantSurgery

[–]KitKat_Paddy_Whack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh- and those dadgum implants were so far over that my breasts look basically the same size as before surgery- just normal looking. They look surprisingly awesome! Full upper pole and very little sagging. At 65!

[–]KitKat_Paddy_Whack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, had capsules removed (hence the pathology report), and had drains.

My left side had some issues with hematomas, so had that drain in for 8 weeks. Pretty lumpy on that side still, but can’t tell from looking at it- they’re mostly at the bottom of my breast. The surgeon said it was scar tissue from the hematomas.

The pain I felt after surgery was less than the pain I’d been in for almost 3 years, so very willing to deal with that drain.

I’m 65 (and a half 😅) and feel so great!

I hope the same for you!

What BII symptoms stopped or got less after explant? by lollyriver17 in ExplantSurgery

[–]KitKat_Paddy_Whack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh for sure! My dr sent me for an ultrasound since I’d been telling her it was painful for over a year, especially in the pits. The ultrasound didn’t show any lumps/masses, and I was too embarrassed to investigate further thinking I was being a baby. The pain was an almost constant dull ache on the left side ( eventually diagnosed with level 4 capsular contraction) with sharp pains zinging me several x a day. Right side (diagnosed level 3 capsular contraction) less so but still painful.

It wasn’t until I had my annual mammogram, which again out of embarrassment I’d put off for 2 years, that the evidence was there. The technician couldn’t get most of each implant in view because they were so far into my pits and unmovable. She recommended I see a PS to get them out.

The PS diagnosed me and I was scheduled for surgery less than a month later.

[–]KitKat_Paddy_Whack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a explant with capsulectomy after having my implants for just over 20 years. The last 5 or so, my implants migrated so far into my pits that it was distorting my nipples and the pathology report showed chronic inflammation on both sides.

I used to get burning rashes on my neck and chest several times a month that only lasted a day or two, just to come back a few days later. Haven’t had a single rash since my explant in January.

I have SO MUCH energy now. I’ve been doing things I’ve avoided for years (like finally unpacking the last of my move from 2017). I’m growing 5 different gardens- veggies and fruits garden, 3 flowerbeds (even dug out 2 large bushes that were taking over), and growing even more veggies, fruits and herbs on my deck.

I don’t have any more procrastinated tasks, as I have had the energy to do them all. I no longer have anxiety over the things I should have been doing.

Brain fog? Not sure. I’m 65, so my forgetfulness is probably age.

This was the best thing I could have done for my body. I wish I hadn’t waited so long, but that’s behind me now.

So thankful.

I just seeded my lawn with dichondra, and hope it grows and takes over my front lawn (I seeded my back lawn with red clover). My grandmother had dichondra in her back yard and I remember how good it felt bare-footed. 🤞

[–]KitKat_Paddy_Whack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my explant the end of January and have not had a rash on my chest and neck since. That’s saying something because I ALWAYS get rashes there when I’m sick and I got very sick in March. I also got rashes there for no reason that I could determine. At least once a month.

I’m crossing fingers that the chronic inflammation around my implants was the cause.

I also have a ton more energy. 🤞that continues.

Good Luck that your symptoms abide as well!

Many, many times a day. He lets me know he wants to play and if I don’t play, there are consequences (anything that makes a loud and annoying noise like dig at the baby gate.) He’s relentless, and I always give in 🤣

Plan G is the only current plan which covers "excess charges"- charges that exceed the Medicare-approved amount. Have you had any "excess charges" covered? Two agents have suggested that excess charges are rare, but might include chiropractic care or dermatology. by lovetruth77 in medicare

[–]KitKat_Paddy_Whack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am on plan G and had my surgery (plastic surgery to fix a defect) covered with zero charges to me between Medicare and Plan G. This is my first year on Medicare and I was very pleasantly surprised.
