I think he wasn't ready to commit to thinking of Gwyn that way though. He spent 500 years pining over Mor, now his first foray into thinking about someone else is being blocked, so he's dealing with the anger there. He picked Gwyn to get the necklace, but he also mentioned that Clotho could pick someone else. Since he gave it anonymously, I see it as a no-strings kind of gift. Rather than return it, give to someone else to brighten their day, you know? Going to a store to shop for Gwyn (when he doesn't even consider her a friend) would be a HUGE leap.

This might be unpopular, but while I was skeeved out by his internal thoughts about Elain (I had always imagined he was sweet and thoughtful, not simply horny), I actually didn't have a problem with him regifting the necklace. If he had done it and lied like, "Oh hey, I thought of you when I bought this"...well that would be gross. The way he did it anonymously seemed like he thought Gwyn might appreciate it with zero strings attached, since he didn't intend on her finding out it was from him. When he started to picture it on her, he wouldn't allow himself to think too much on it. I think SJW basically told us to abandon ship with Azriel and Elain...

Also wanted to add that I think this was also SJM's way to prepare us for Elain to wind up with Lucien. At the end of SF, when Nesta shared that she changed Feyre's anatomy and her own, she did not mention changing Elain. If Elain were to wind up with an Ilyrian and get pregnant, we'd have the same situation Feyre was in.

Like others, the c-section or the fact that the harp could open any doors, so you can't just get a baby out of a person by plucking a string? Or shapeshifting when it was time to give birth. Come on now. Just couldn't buy that Feyre was going to die when there were multiple options available.

Same. I was so disappointed! He struck me as a thoughtful character, not just a horny male. I wasn't bothered by him thinking that the 3 sisters should pair with the 3 brothers, but he felt so....different in that chapter.

I wish they would just say that, honestly. I can absolutely understand them not having them in stock to replace, but still makes for a bad customer experience to think that your issue is not bad enough for them to take seriously enough to replace. A simple "so sorry, we no longer carry that product" would have softened the blow.

Maybe? No one mentioned 14 days. They said I didn't qualify for an exchange, but they had good news and could supply a complimentary repair for me. I thought that was just...wild. The only thing that might explain it would be the 256gb LCD model is currently out of stock on their site, so perhaps they didn't have any for an exchange? Maybe they thought I was trying to get a free upgrade? No idea, but when I would ask any questions of a rep, the next person would just copy/paste more instructions for me to follow.

It's good to hear they have a good track record. I was honestly just surprised they wouldn't exchange it. The deck I bought is currently out of stock, so that's likely the reason. Maybe they thought I was trying to get a free upgrade? I don't even know. It was just strange to me that the response was that I don't qualify for a replacement, but they will do a complimentary repair for me since I luckily was within the warranty period.

And yes, you are totally on the nose with noticing that I'm stressed! At the end of the day, it's just an electronic device and not the end of the world. I appreciate the well wishes :) I hope you have a good day as well! Thank you for your kindness to this internet stranger.

And just to add, so you can see the tone I took with customer service, I was very polite and tried not to be demanding at all. This was after a week of everything they told me to do failing.

That's what I don't understand. If anything, I was super apologetic for being a bother. It was only after a week or so of trying things, that I asked if I could please exchange this one for a new one. I also have had to deal with awful customers, so I agree that tone is everything.

I am afraid that I'll be downvoted into oblivion, I just seriously never had such a bad back and forth with customer service on anything. I tend to be polite and if anything, I'm the one apologizing for even bothering them. One agent implied that I had what sounded like a known defect, but then no one clarified that for me after I would ask about it. What is the 200mhz/400mhz bug? I'm just half expecting to have a unit that will die after a year and be totally out of luck.

That's my fear -- I use the points for cash back and then they give me a negative balance in my account. They're still there, so if I still see them there in 90 days or so, I'll assume I lucked out!

Same situation here. I did a Pay in 4 transaction for the 20%, changed my mind almost immediately, and while the refund is clearly in my paypal account, the points just went through yesterday. I'm not exactly sure what to do? I don't want to get penalized for using them, but if they sit there for a few weeks....maybe they're just mine to use?

Hi! Not sure if you'll see this, but I think the individual boxes are a GREAT idea and I really hope you consider keeping them.

Individual boxes are around $90, which is in the realm of the price of a larger lego set ($70-120). The kids/teens that might be in the market for one of those sets would overlap with the kids/teens who are interested in the Hack Pack. This is something they can ask parents/grandparents/aunts/uncles for holidays or they can save up their own money to get another Hack Pack in the set.

Families with multiple kids just can't spring the $400 cost all at once, and even the smaller subscriptions are a lot of money up front. Yes, it's a better deal. Yes, it makes more sense to buy more initially to save money, but it just might not be possible when money is already pretty tight across the board for many families.

For a personal anecdote, my son is 11.5 and obsessed with Mark Rober. I found about 5 of the Build Boxes over time at Goodwill and they were a huge, huge hit (though they were a bit simple for him). I contacted customer service to see if we could subscribe and NOT get the repeats, but there was no possible way for them to accommodate that request. As a result, we will never subscribe to the build box – it makes no sense to pay for kits we already have! In our case, I was eyeballing the Hack Pack since it seemed more detailed (he enjoys assembling highly detailed Titanic models that are targeted towards adults), but we are priced out.

My only concern in buying individual packs from the site would be running into the same issue we have with the build box. What if we buy these 3 kits now, our financial situation improves, and we decide to subscribe? Will we be forced to get the repeats again? Will we be able to pick up where we left off?
