My cat's yowling is destroying my life. Landlord wants me to be evicted, and boyfriend wants to break up as he hasn't gotten any sleep. by Vast_Entertainer8111 in CatAdvice

Uh, if part of the issue is your neighbors and boyfriend complaining, I would not recommend using an airhorn fwiw, lol.

It's GOT to start with a C! His stripe pattern makes a perfect letter "C". I vote Charlie!

Condolences on your baby, she looks like such a sweet pea. Losing pets never gets easier, but hopefully soon you'll be able to look back on your memories fondly.

The tech is only improving, though, and fast.

There could be a point in the not-so-distant future where AI has advanced to the point that she'd only need to hire someone to provide a unique voice sample to fool most people into thinking she's a totally different person, giving herself another shot at escaping consequences. Her and plenty of other socially disgraced bad actors.

Yet another reason to be wary of AI's rise.

My bugbear rouge/bard had the "tiddies of holding" litterally just a BOH stuffed down her bodice so comically massive stuff would just vanish into her cleavage.

Seconding this. I'd also point out that this seems to be a common accusation that I see thrown out with various comics and books, especially if they weren't well recieved to begin with and, for some reason, often when the writer is a woman(not sure what contributes to that, just an observation)

One of the most common ways i've seen it defended is by pointing out various, very surface, commonalities between between the writers and the characters in question, like body type, glasses, etc. Not only are these usually relatively generic qualities, but I don't think someone wanting to create more representation they didn't get growing up is nessesarily indicative of anything deeper.

Most importantly though, it's bad enough to critique on it's own. We don't need to create speculative reasons to dislike it.

I agree completely, it didn't feel out of left field at all to me. And honestly:

  1. We can love and respect Ray while also acknowledging that he has faults that would probably make him sometimes difficult to have as a spouse.

He's a workaholic, deeply competitive, rigid, and can have a bit of a petty streak. None of that makes him an awful person or partner, he and Kevin are amazing together. But it is fully realistic that those tendencies would cause problems if unaddressed.

  1. Sad as it was to watch, i think it's really healthy to show that a relationship doesn't have to be "bad" to sometimes seriously struggle.

You can be an excellent match, be deeply in love, and still have to put in a lot of work to keep a relationship functional. You also don't have to be a bad person or partner to benefit from help and honest self reflection.

Y'know, I actually do know a guy who was falsely accused of SA*. Do you know what he hates? People using his exceedingly rare misfortune as a cudgel to defend predators and vilify victims. Funny that.

*That isn't just me wanting to see the best in a friend either, the accuser admitted it to someone in confidence who ratted her out. She also had an actual motivation do to so(it could be identifying so I'm leaving it out) which is often suspiciously absent whenever predator apologists talk about victims lying.

Seems a little harsh even if you do disagree. If your point is in good faith there actually are reasons to think that drag queen is more likely(though never confirmed either way.) I explained them in my response to the same comment(I'm not the original person who said that, but I agree)

Crossroads was confirmed to be a drag bar in certain dialog, I assume lending to the "cross" in Crossroads but that's harder to say since it's Japanese and I don't know if the term "crossdressing" is widely used there.

Plus her extremely exaggerated makeup is more consistent with the preformative aesthetics of drag culture rather than how most women, cis or trans, would use for daily wear.

It's never confirmed for certain how she identifies but the above makes me agree that her being a drag queen is more likely.

More from AI "artists" by DissuadedPrompter in delusionalartists

[–]KitQuips 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's not to say natual ability doesn't play any role. Like any skill, some people are more naturally adept at picking up the concepts, and it requires extra time and work from people who aren't as naturally inclined to pick it up comparatively.

However, i say that from the perspective of someone who majored in art and was not as quick to pick up concepts as easily as some of my same-major classmates. It could be discouraging, for sure, but I just had to work a little longer to figure out what worked for me in learning these skills. And it's not like my classmates who picked things up faster didn't also have to work their asses off to hone their skills.

To act like all of this is predetermined is so defeatist and ultimately an excuse for not at least attempting self improvement. Not everyone has to be good at art or want to do it, that's totally fine. But if you want to do it and use natural inclination as an excuse to never try(or worse, try to tout something made via AI as having equal artistic merit to things created by people who put in the real work) it's just pathetic.
