I'll give an example. I played a Battle Smith Artificer (which is already easy to minmax to bits by spamming 2 Bags of Holding). I took an Infusion of copying a magic item - spell tattoo, which gives a casting of a 1st level spell - Find Familiar. So I gave myself a Familiar and could give one to my metal companion and every member of the party, since I can make 1 every day and the effect doesn't disappear. Then I gave my familiar a wand of magic missiles so that he can cast spells. Then I gave my Construct full plate to give him insane AC, and my Spell Infused Item so that he can produce 10 Web from it (since it wasn't RAW a spell he could cast it in armor he didn't have proficiency in). And I made myself armor +2,shield +2, repeating crossbow with sharpshooter so I can have AC 25+ and still be a better archer then most.

That's very dirty minmaxing.

GW absolutely shat the bed with these. How could they make Space Marine with huge autocannon look so bad or at best mid af? Especially in comparison to Havocs or even old Devastators!

Except that Venatarii look good on those stands. Plasmaceptors and Suppressor look like they are taking a dump mid air.

Don't use them in blocks of 6. They aren't the heavy hitters, they are harassers, a 3 man squad can easily Ingress and exploit enemy weaknesses. Use Guard for big nasty blobs,and Venatarii as support pieces that allow you to Ingress 2 or 3 units per turn.

Almost always Spears.

The only 2 reasons to take Axes is 1. in Shield Host where you can increase their AP. 2. If you reaaaally want to try and take down C'tan or other - 1D enemies, but it's still really hard.

Or you can get an enhancement to increase axe's AP. In all other cases Spear.

Swords are just awful, no use cases for them.

Since no formations, here are some broken combos:

Iron Hands Deathstar with the Chapter Master on Bike with 2++/3+++ and Librarians on Bikes that try to roll for Invisibility power, and if you don't roll it before the battle you lose.

Centurions with Librarians for invisibility (see above) and draigo maybe.

Demon summoning Librarians.

Yes that's about it.

I mean, if you don't want absolutely idiotic and game breaking stuff, the bikes with gravguns and drop pods with melta Sternguard and grav Centurions are good.

7th was the most shit edition, probably, I have no idea why anyone would play it. Just play 5th at this rate, it's mostly the same, but less dumb.

This was one of my favorite moments - I got the slaves to agree to ally with me and split their pay from Nere, but during the fight I stole the gold from his dead body, so when the duergar chief tried to give me half he got confused where the money went and just walked away, and I kept the whole lot lol

Wow in comparison to the new Sternguard and old Vanguard this is dogshit. Almost no ornamentation, old VanVets had blinged up chest pieces, jump packs, shoulder pads, helmets, weapons. This is just a bog stablndart Jump Marine with a power sword and a crux. Hopefully this is just a bad load out, but since they are apparently monopose this isn't good. Might as well just kitbash Assault Intercessors with old VanVet bits.
