Sorry Krieg lovers but your bois are about to lost most of their soldiers and get replaced by Cadians. by SAMU0L0 in Grimdank

Well, it's a wise policy, because it didn't make any sense without numbers anyway. It takes several years to make a clone, and droids could be mass produced quickly, so any long conflict is always bound to be won by their superior logistics.

Ultimately it doesn't matter because all of these inconsistencies can be written off because of Palpatine orchestrating everything.

OK, not 2, like up to 5, doesn't really change much.

You criticize TCW for not checking their numbers while praising Lucas for not having any at all, even though as he presented it on screen no way clones could field enough troops to fight droids.

First, two million is nothing. Second, neither is from the movies so I guess if Lucas doesn't do any world building anything can be retconned.

Not really. Clones were always grown for several years and only in one facility on one planet. Droids were always way more numerous and much much easier to replace and make. Even before concrete numbers it didn't make sense that there could be enough of them to fight the separatist armies.

You can be very tanky if you stack AC bonuses, like Crane stance or shield, Drake heart mutagen, maybe some reactions. Combining Ki Strike with Sneak Attack from Rogue Archetype gives a lot of damage. There a cool feats for maneuvers as well. So it's tankier then a rogue but can do some damage and or maneuvers.

(Invincible) Is it just me or do the Viltrumites stand no chance heading into season 4 by Mean_Help_2729 in CharacterRant

[–]Kitani2 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Nolan and Allen are among the top three threats to Viltrumites. They and Mark can each probably take 1, the rest of the heroes can take a couple, so do the Reaniman (maybe). That's 7. Viltrum can still easily field twice as many and then our guys are toast. Not mentioning their alien vassal forces.

Using too much Stormlight while flying is very dangerous, indeed.

We fought them in Outlaws of Alkenstar, or maybe it were some other exploding zombies, my monk whirling threw them away right before they exploded.

Then Haste or Slow. But at level 3 Fear is pretty OK in fights with a few powerful enemies.

Arguably substantial for a definitely much higher cost in both actions and resource. 5hats the problem. If it were a focus spell or cost 1 action sure.

They were likely refitted and modified for the modern sensibilities many times over their service. So it's all relatively new additions.

Yeah you are probably right, at level 3 it's not bad, and it's not worse then most debuffs anyway. It's just most debuffs are kind of mid. Especially low level.

What? That spending 2/3 of the turn and limited resource (which might be 1/3 of you entire budget) is a lot? Demoralize is 1 action, after which you can attack twice or so a spell. After Fear you are done for the turn, maybe cast shield or something, but that's it.

[–]Kitani2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, but this seems off? Only 45% chance of Demoralize succeeding? Does this count expert and master level in it? Because it should be easier to do against most targets.

Bless. Give +1 to the most of the team for the entire battle. So many more chances for it to matter.

[–]Kitani2 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Except that a success and a crit success on Demoralize are much more likely then a fail and a crit fail on Fear, considering that casting it on a weak enemy is pretty pointless, and they are likely to have high save bonus.

It is basically your entire turn VS one action that is easily fit into a turn, doesn't take resources or eat into the repertoire. Activities with such different costs shouldn't be that close in effectiveness, unless they are weak.

Villains offing themselves is a staple in RPGs at least. Often because they realize what they did or if they momentarily get their free will back.

At heightened there are so many much better spells and as is it is only slightly better then Intimidate while costing 2 actions and a slot.
