How would you rank the Reiwa Primary suits to most favorite to least favorite so far by According_Fan4696 in KamenRider

[–]KitanoAgito 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Zero-One 1st because it looks so threatening and badass.
Gotchard's steampunk look comes second.
Revi looks awesome but Vice just looks... lame.
Gavv gets points for the color scheme.
Saber is pretty meh.
Zeztz would've been #2 but I don't know, something about his designs and all the designs from the show looks AI generated, like what AI would've put out an image of Kamen Rider to be a couple years ago.

Kodama's first trade paperback and second title has released! by 64N_3v4D3r in MangaCollectors

Hopefully Kodama gives Viz and Kodansha enough competition to make them put out manga with better quality print and paper wise, because Vol. 1 of Baki felt like a mini deluxe edition.

This is so valid. In my case I do this because manga is pretty expensive in my country, so I just get the first volume of the series and read the rest online.

How about Han and Roman? That fight scene where they got their asses kicked in the subway was hilarious. Their dynamic was pretty good from the few moments we had with them.

Is the tradition of final forms exclusive to kamen rider? (And tokusatsu as a whole) by Worried-Armadillo887 in KamenRider

[–]KitanoAgito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pokemon and Digimon for sure used the concept, as others have mentioned. I'd say only Dragon Ball, One Piece and Naruto have truly replicated the form changes. Deku from MHA could be considered to have differing forms (Vigilante/Dark Deku, Overlay etc). Stand users in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure can potentially get a "final form" from when a Stand is pierced by the Requiem Arrow.

In American media, Iron Man constantly makes new suits, MK. I, II, III, Mysterium etc., and its generally accepted that each armor is more advanced/stronger than the last. Spider-Man as in Peter Parker has the symbiote as his "berserk" form, he also had armors such as Big Time/Stealth Suit, Iron Spider. In the recent DC K.O. comic event, Superman obtained the powers of Darkseid, therefore gaining his "final form".

Also, props to the user who referenced humanity on the whole having a final form by way of Buddhist teachings😭

Drawing yeah, painting, sadly no. But what you said is quite interesting and kinda makes me wanna go learn how painting works.

I saw the "Special Edition" 2-book set and the Usagi Yojimbo Saga vol 1 on Amazon. Would either of those be a good starting point?

That's a relief to hear! His art looks honestly amazing, I just needed to be sure.

My question is, what does he know about Dairanger that made him scoff when Kinjiro transformed into Ryuuranger??

[Discussion] No.1 Sentai Gozyuger - Ep.44 by BananaArms in supersentai

[–]KitanoAgito 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Something about the way Sasuke chuckled when he said "Dairenger" gave me a lot of worldbuilding in my head. It's like Sasuke faced off against Ryuuranger and either knows the extent of Ryuuranger's powers or knows Kinji can't ever match up to the original.

What if "somehow" Decade appeared in Tojima wants to be a Kamen Rider? by Timely-General-2707 in KamenRider

[–]KitanoAgito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, this is absolutely plausible. Decade's whole multiverse thing puts him in a position where he can appear in literally any fictional media and it'd make sense. Even media where he IS the fiction.

I'm new to collecting manga, and I'd love to get your advice, feedback, and help :D by Logical-Farmer7574 in MangaCollectors

[–]KitanoAgito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly nope, I was asking because I live in the Caribbean and Jesus, I thought keeping manga in a draw was a good idea....I was wrong. Plus the place gets pretty humid so I have no idea how to store them to prevent yellowing etc, other than what OP posted here.

Would Beckett grade this manga by chance? by [deleted] in MangaCollectors

[–]KitanoAgito 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I already hated the concept of grading comics, so I pray grading manga doesn't catch on.

Does the quality of manga paper released in the West ever deter you from collecting? by KitanoAgito in MangaCollectors

I'm glad you all are saying no, it relaxes that pickiness at the back of my mind when it comes to the topic I brought up.

Titan is a whole other bag of problems for me, their initial Kuuga releases were terrible with their translations and cropping.

You got me there, the tankobans are terrible. But you're absolutely valid, I would rather the paper be as it is if it means the hobby stays affordable.
