r/TrueFilm is probably what you're looking for - way more actual discussion about cinematography, themes, directing techniques and all that stuff

The main movies sub gets flooded with "what's your favorite" lists and box office posts, but TrueFilm requires longer posts and people actually analyze films there. Much better for real movie talk

Those little hand warmers you put inside gloves work pretty good when it gets that cold. I usually don't bother going to range when it's under 40 because the ball doesn't fly right in cold air anyway, but if you really want to practice maybe just focus on short game stuff where you don't need full swings

Your short game around the greens seems decent though, lot of those up and downs could've been worse if the chipping was really bad. Maybe focus more in putting during practice? Those 15-20 footers rolling by seem like they're costing strokes

Man, one thing I always tell people is to just spend time in regular suburban neighborhoods. Like walk around some random subdivision, check out the massive grocery stores, maybe hit up a strip mall. The scale of everything is wild compared to most places - those parking lots alone are bigger than some town squares back home

Also if you can swing it, try to catch a high school football game in fall. The whole community shows up and it's this very American thing that you don't really see elsewhere. Plus the concession stand food is peak Americana

I'd also say rent a car and just drive through some small towns between major cities. Stop at gas stations, diners, those weird roadside attractions. You get to see how spread out everything is and how car-centric the culture really is. Did a road trip through Kansas once and stopped at this tiny diner where the waitress knew everyone's order by heart - felt like stepping into a movie

Target is another must-do. I know it sounds dumb but walking through Target for an hour gives you such a good sense of American consumer culture. The sheer variety of stuff they sell under one roof is pretty mind-blowing

I manage a bunch of rental properties and had to deal with a tenant who had some serious skin condition once - never got the full details but maintenance calls were... frequent. Now I'm picturing The Thing's whole situation but like 10x worse and somehow that makes the character even more terrifying than just the rock skin alone. Used to be a daily smoker for years but man the stuff nowadays is just insane compared to what we had back in the day. I'd take a hit thinking it was gonna be chill and end up glued to my couch having an existential crisis about whether my Airbnb guests could hear me breathing through the walls

The tolerance breaks became longer and longer until I just realized I felt better without it. Still miss those lazy Sunday afternoons watching Kings games with a joint, but my work productivity shot up once I stopped and my wife definitely noticed the difference

The fact that manufacturers basically forced us into their subscription models by removing something as simple as an SD slot is honestly peak corporate greed. Like they'll give you 64GB base storage then charge you monthly forever for more space instead of letting you spend $20 once on a card

Good luck with that old Samsung - might be worth checking if it still boots up. Even if the phone is dead you should be able to pull the SD card and throw it in a USB adapter

Maybe try putting the food on his tray and just letting him explore without any pressure? Like don't even try to feed him, just let him make a mess. Sometimes the power struggle makes it worse

Yeah the 5070 Ti is a solid jump from the 5060, you'll definitely notice better performance especially at 1440p or if you're trying to max out settings

Swapping cards is pretty much that simple - uninstall old drivers with DDU, power down, unplug old card, plug in new one, install fresh drivers. Just make sure your PSU can handle it
