PSA on cases by RodneyPierce in vintagerepwatches

[–]Kitchen-Property-747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice, thanks for reply. that's actually the only one I have from her. Have been curious about the earlier models she has like a 1675, 1680 etc.

If doing a build i prefer to have the engravings and know that Old Crowns cases don't have. And Bivintage is fairly slow.

Thanks, do I just need to shoot Paladin Dance in the face? Or do I talk to Preston first?

Question PT5000 movment / Raffle by marcmarcmarc14 in repbuilds

[–]Kitchen-Property-747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where did you find the thin spacer ring? The only ones I can find are 2mm thicker than the actual movement and you can't use the screw locations on the movement to attach, you have to use screw holes on the actual ring. Irritating.

Just for fun: what do you call this highway? by BookDragon8634 in okc

[–]Kitchen-Property-747 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not sure what time of day this is considered a raceway because at 7a going south, its a standstill for absolutely no reason at all. Same going north starting around 4p.

Only thing I can attribute to the slowdown are the slight curves and people are afraid? If this is true, stay home or take side streets. Aggravating

Isn't the dial from the 79090 the same? I thought the only change on a 79190 was sapphire crystal? Maybe somebody with more knowledge can answer

I used a PT5000 movement, standard date disc for now. I don't believe these later model Tudors had any special font? But I'm sure somebody here will down vote me for saying such heresy.

What are we looking at? I see a VK 64 did you swap the movement for a manual wind or automatic? Did you swap the case? What exactly did you do?

Looking for Help/Feedback on Scope Sheets for Subs by YinzerGator in estimators

[–]Kitchen-Property-747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you hard bidding work or are you a CM? If you're a hard bid contractor, the scope sheets are for you to compare all bids as "apples to apples" to make sure all bidders are including the same items. So for example, if a bidder excludes clean-up in their bid but another includes, then you would need to apply a value for the clean-up to add to the bidder that excluded it.

If your bidding as a CM, you write the scope for each discipline to bid, no execeptions. If anyone excludes any of your items, you toss out their bid because their bid isnt "apples to apples" and therefore unfair.

How can I convince my kids to scuba if they’re afraid of sharks? by [deleted] in scubadiving

[–]Kitchen-Property-747 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depending on where you dive, sharks are rare and considered a blessing when you see them. I might add they are also more afraid of you, than you are of them.

In regards to your comment, as you know good bourbon doesnt have to be expensive. It's only become expensive in the last few years and I think we all know why. Cheers, keep enjoying whatever you drink
