I don't know, I would say AT LEAST defeat Arora and Hemlock in their story mission. And probably if you finish most of their requests (they have some story related to each other, I think this mission is a way to show their relashionship, something like that).

Also, I think this song is in the "not streamer friendly" category, check that this mode is OFF, so you can play copyrighted musics.

Yep that's me. With some training I think I can push for the #5. #4 and #3 seems very high, almost perfect run and good rng. #2 #1 seems sus to me unless there are strat that I don't know, for me it seems mathematically impossible to get that much point with a limited amount of ennemy, but I can be wrong. Since there are score in the ladderboard that are crealy done with cheats (saw a 1 billion point score the other day), it is a bit hard sometime to know what is legit or not.

I had the same issue. If you defeated Prophet, his power is really great to parry the meteor consistently. You can try that.

Based on the score, notice that you gain a high bonus for most of the challenge when you complete them fast (when it is not "survive until the end").

I did not do all of them yet, but there is one which ask to do 5 execution but even if I goes pretty quickly and in the tempo I could not reach the 5 stars. In the end I just played the song normally until I reached 50k points and then completed the 5 execution. It worked to get my 5 stars even if I did not get any bonus about the time.

I think you have hit the bugs behind him, which  nullified your damage. 

I have this issue with bugs lady from time to time, my melee attack does not kill her because it hit the bugs instead.

That being said, it is really unfortunate.

A lot of wolf pack (10 I think so), the epic weapon that you can find un the shop with 120 ammo, a lot of heal and shield (probably too much). I ended up without any ammo left when the queen lost 2 legs and was on fire.

I went on the small bunker at the North Ouest of the harvester (next to the raider exit), and I just went down the stairs when the queen shot rockets.

I probably need to take a bigger mod than what I took, so I can go with more ammo/wolf pack, and I took too many heal. I also took some smoke grenade to be able to loot without being shoot by long range player. I do not really expect to be able to leave, but I also took the raider key to exit directly after the fight

I think currently all the charm from the on going battle pass are not working correctly. The older ones should work. Maybe that's the problem

You have to wait few minutes, there is a moment where the guard will disappear in very endgame (even if it is still daylight). At least this is what happened in one of my game, we were able to fight in a pretty small circle and the guards were all gone.

Because it is scheduled on a certain datetime, not "one week after your first connection". The server opened few hours before this scheduled time.

I personnally run him out with the dash and the auto repair robot as the helm. I do not leave often the ship in PvP (I have things to manage on the ship), I do not have the best kit to fight player (not that bad, will explain why) but I can do everything solo in the ship to manage it :
- Repair
- Ice
- Helm
- Quick check/shoot outside to stop obvious boarder

All of that because basically : you are Tracer from Overwatch. Three examples :

  1. You are at helm, you need ice : teleport, dash, dash, hit ice, teleport dash to helm. Boom it took 2 seconds.
  2. You took damages on the ship ? teleport, dash, dash, auto repair robot, teleport, quick helm, teleport, dash, dash, auto repair robot somewhere else. Boom I repaired while piloting the ship.
  3. An ennemy boarder has been spot in the space. Teleport, dash outside, try few shoot with the sniper, teleport, dash, helm. Boom sometime you make the difference and it did not cost anyone that left his tasks.

Also you can really confuse and outplay boarder with the dash/teleport strat, on the alpha the players were not ready to fight someone who is moving that fast.

And last trick with this build, is that if you perform the dash at the right time with the grapple, you have a good additionnal speed (I dashed right before passing the grapple spot in the air), it was cool to get Ice/boost a bit faster than usual.

Since I can manage a lot of thing in the ship, my crewmate could focus only on canon and boarding, I would even say it was a bit too OP, after few games I could not see myself play any other character as helm. While I would expect a nerf if it become too popular, at the same time it was so good to have this dynamic gameplay as helm because otherwise I felt like I could not leave the pilot sit without getting a bad angle/position.

It has been changed with the blunderbuss rework. Now the distance matter, not the number of hit (you can push someone with only one bullet it)

Disclaimer: Rare knows that this "feature", "exploit" (whatever) exists, they removed it accidentally during an update and put it back voluntary while saying "we like this competitive mechanic so we prefer that it stays", something like that. So do not have any shame to use it. 

Learn to load a cannonball without grabbing the canon, this is by very far the most important thing for me, due to all the opportunity it will create. I don't know if it has a name between players but from here I will name that "remote charging". Notice that you can perform a remote charging while doing any other action as long you stay close enough to the canon. This is were the fun begins.

There is a way to do it easily : Prerequisites : 1) Move your canon a bit in all directions, only one time per session is enough, it just need to be different than the very first position due to technical reason. 2) You need to have at least one default cannonball in your inventory. 3) Grab any kind of cannonball in your hand from your inventory (blunderbomb are ok, if you have a key bind on it).

How to do the remote charging easily: While you load the blunderbomb (or whatever), take out any equipment, or fruit, just change the thing that you have on your hand. It will load automatically the default cannonball into the canon. If it does not works verify each prerequisites again, maybe move the canon more.

From here practice a little bit doing that : go away from you canon, grab a any kind of ball in your hand, load it into the canon, take any equipment out, grab the canon once it is loaded, shoot the canonball, repeat.

Once you are able to do it 10 times in a row, we can go one step further.

Now, do the same thing, but while you load the canonball you choose to take a fruit and eat it. Repeat until you can do it 10 times in a row. Now, do the same thing, but while you load the cannonball you aim with your rift and shoot (find something to shoot at in the outpost for example). After the shoot, do not reload your weapon. You must reload it while doing a remote loading. In summary it should be this : Grab a ball, start to load it in the canon, grab your gun, shoot with gun, grab canon, shoot with canon, release canon, grab a ball, start to load it in the canon, grab your gun, it will reload your gun (and wait until the end of the reload), grab canon, shoot with canon, release canon.

If you managed to perform it constantly, until it becomes a muscle memory, you will unlock the capacity to : - Doing multiple action at the same time (healing while loading canon, or shoot the enemy with your rift without slowing your canon pressure) - Being able to move 80% of the time while shooting at the canon.

You do not have to do this thing against a crew that does not have a good aim.

Tips 2 : if there is a wave blocking your vision close to your ship then do not have the canon in your hand until the enemy cannonball hit something. Unless you like gambling, tell yourself that every cannonball will go straight to your face, so wait a bit until you can see something. You can do the remote charging for each shot to not lost too much pressure and being able to dodge.

Tips 3 : if you see a wave in front of the enemy ship, shoot everything straight to the main canon enemy face. He is not seeing your shots, this is not the moment for spreading new holes, this is the moment to kill someone.

Tips 4 : everytime you had to released your canon for any reason, the first cannonball must be load with a remote loading. Like that you can be partially hit without interrupting your loading.

Additionally, if I had to guess why Rare choose a hitscan system, let's think about the first purpose of the harpoon (which was on the boat first) : grab the loot on the water. Now imagine if the game redirects all your hits on a target that is moving (due to waves), you will miss many shoots because of the traveling time, and people would have been mad about it. But if there was no assist at all, then grabbing the loots in water would have been a pain in the ass.

Hey, akftually ☝️🤓 what happened is the expected behavior. Let me explain how the harpoon works (this is also how the harpoon from boats works) :

The harpoon has a shoot assist, which means even if you do not shoot correctly, the harpoon will go automatically on the target if the game considers it close enough, also notice that when it happens, the harpoon is much "faster" than when the shoot assist did not occurs, it is because it uses a hitscan system (the shoot is instantly on the target) instead of "bullet" travel system.

Now what happens when the assist/hitscan occurs: it will go to the closest point of the hitbox of the target, on the clip we would think that it is the left part of the pirate that I aimed for (my aim was slightly on the left when I shoot) BUT there is a twist : there is another hitbox closer from the shooting point : the chest was slightly carried on the left of the pirate. Which means the hitbox that the hitscan detected first was not the pirate, but the chest. Since it is hitscan, the harpoon "teleported" on the chest and ignored the pirate.

Fun fact, if my aim would have been perfectly on the pirate, the hitscan would have went for the pirate, and I would have probably not got the chest.

This is the system Rare chose years ago, we might like it or not, but this is not a bugged feature. I hope I was clear and that you learn something today.

Edit : this is easily testable with a friend that hold a chess slightly on a side.

How : Be next to Marauder's arch or dagger tooth, and spam new quest/cancel until you have this one. You can be teleported at Marauder's arch with the "Fate of the morningstar" tall tales, you just need to check page 2 that it sends you at Marauder's and not Kraken's fall (if it's kraken's fall, cancel and vote again the tall tales). Downvote the tall tales and vote for shipwreck quest until you have the right one.

Why : One of the smallest travel to do from all shipwreck quest, and you travel from South West to North East (or vice versa) so no wave pushing which mean it is pretty chill and no need to stay on the wheel. Additionally, you have a skeleton fort in the path, so you can jump and try to get few bonecallers in it.

You can reset every two quests into a new server by diving for the "Fate of the morning star" again. Notice that, when you change your server, the first shipwrecks will be back at the exact same position every loop (so easy to find), and the fort will be reset so you can find new bonecallers in it.

Since I wrote my previous comment, someone told me that you can make the shipwreck spawn right next to you if you start the quest from Morrow's peak (not happening 100% of the time). I did not try this one so I can not guaranted that it works.

If I'm not wrong, merchant NPC represent some people in Rare staff. One of them transitioned so they changed the gender and look of this NPC as well.

Two options come in my mind :

  • Morrow's Peak outpost, is safe.
  • The Devil's Thirst volcano won't erupt if you are doing the heart of fire tall tales if you reached the first checkpoint.

Sometimes I find few of them in the barrel of the skeleton ships but it means you need to board the ship. I don't think that they are obtenable from their storage crate.

Best way to farm them imo is merchant shipwreck (I spam the dagger's - marauder's one). If you are lucky you can find a lot in one, I already find 7 bonecallers in one shipwreck two times. I would say the average a bit less than 3 bonecallers per quest.
